Good morning. Am on the south coast of Oregon near the border, and just want to report that my dog was acting REALLY strange early yesterday evening, more so than normal, anyway..

I think the Cali quakes are foreshocks, and the thing is, I don't think it will be one earthquake in one place necessarily either.

So anyone seen San Andreas? I like a good disaster flick, but just tell me it has a happy ending of sorts, like day after tomorrow, armageddon, etc, and I'll be okay. No titanic shit, though, hate it when the love interest dies. There's enough of that in real life for me to ever deliberately plunk down good money knowing in advance it's going to be a sad story.

and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed that weird earth photo. Predictive programming again? Or something more?

The combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces for June 2015 was the highest for June in the 136-year period of record, at 0.88°C (1.58°F) above the 20th century average of 15.5°C (59.9°F), surpassing the previous record set just one year ago by 0.12°C (0.22°F). This was also the fourth highest monthly departure from average for any month on record. The two highest monthly departures from average occurred earlier this year in February and March, both at 0.90°C (1.62°F) above the 20th century average for their respective months, while January 2007 had the third highest, at 0.89°C (1.60°F) above its monthly average.

Mornin' N-Dad;

Wow, if it was a record last month-and it certainly doesn't seem worldwide temps have dropped much, or WILL by Aug/Sept, together with the length of time the heat & heated surfaces will have had to absorb....
DANGIT!! I don't know if you can understand a WORD I'm saying this AM-I can't think of the words I'm trying to say. I had an unexpected test a little while ago, and though they wouldn't knock me out, they gave me some Versed. I was lucky to find my way home....

Anyways-what I'm trying to say is-with those numbers and it only being June temps-PLUS there's been more records set in the past few weeks in Asia/Middle East; I have to wonder what these next couple of months will be like!!

Did Southern Cal get much rain? I *know* it's not supposed to make any difference-but during the 6-8 years my Son lived in the South Pacific-they seemed to almost always have quakes that came during, or just after, a typhoon or tropical storm. To ME it just makes sense that the earth would be heavier when soaked, also lubrication.... You get my drift. I need to shut up before my LOOSE typing fingers type something I'll regret.

Sorry..I don't drink, so you won't have me here typing drunk-but on these medications??!! If you ONLY KNEW some of the stuff I've said under the influence of Versed!!!
I'm going to go take a cold shower, try & shake this stuff off!!!

lol, you make perfect sense to me.....

I don't take prescribed meds they do really weird stuff to me...

a little Mary J and a few beers all ways cures my pain....

I get vertigo, muscle spasms in the face and intense ear pains, they say I have damaged ears and my eyes and ears send wrong info to my brain and throws me balance off, but I see a lot of others experience the same symptoms....

but there is a positive, I have not had to get up and go to work for 3 years now....

I hope you start feeling a bit better...

in my opinion prescribed meds are killers...

Yes, Southern CA got flooded from a tropical storm. In fact, The Highway Bridge (that leads to AZ) In The Desert collapsed. This is in the area of the desert where San Andreas starts.

Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
For “smaller” eruptions, Yellowstone can wake up quickly

After someone learns about the massive, devastating eruptions that have been unleashed from the Yellowstone Caldera, their usual response is two-fold: Will that happen again? And how much warning would we get? In addition to those incredible events, however, Yellowstone and other calderas like it see smaller eruptions of lava much more frequently. These "small" eruptions are still about the size of the largest eruptions the world has seen in the last century—like Mount Pinatubo. So how much warning can we expect for them?

Odds are good that this will be the type of eruption that occurs next at Yellowstone rather than the rarer “super-eruptions” that inspire Discovery Channel animations. “Fortunately,” the researchers write, “any significant rejuvenation of the reservoir is likely to be associated with deformation or seismicity and identifiable by geophysical monitoring.” So we should have a useful amount of warning that something angry is brewing down in Yellowstone’s volcanic guts. Just not as much warning as we might like.

I was always an unusual girl. My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean... And if I said I didn't plan for it to turn out this way I'd be lying...
Because I was born to be the other woman. Who belonged to no one, who belonged to everyone. Who had nothing, who wanted everything, with a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn't even talk about it,and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled and dizzied me.

The man who instructed the other man to call police left the scene. Officers are looking for him and say he may be armed with a handgun. He is described as a black male wearing tan camouflage pants and a black shirt with a medium length afro haircut.
