I miss the ocean beach. I mean I can get to a beach just a couple miles away. But the ocean beach is about an hour and a half. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

After having grown up near an ocean, it still cracks me up that people call any stretch of water with sand a 'beach'. To me it had to be sea to be a beach..I'm funny that way. |

When my uncle and aunt used to fly up to Seattle area to see me and family. They'd always want to go downtown Seattle or Tacoma to see the ocean and go out on a pier. I mean, yeah it's salt water, but it's not the ocean. It's just the Puget Sound. But they were thrilled. I didn't bust their happy bubble. They both are born and raised and still live rual Missouri south of Joplin, MO. They always loved actually driving up to Mt. Rainer and Mount St. Helens. They'd always take a rock back home with them. I was just a damn rock for the parking lot at the base of the mountains. I just know they went back home and told all their friends, co workers and neighbors, "that's a rock for a volcano". Again, I didn't burst there happiness and just let it be.
