Holy Crap! I guess USGS can't downgrade this one
enough to help the sheeple not PANIC.

Add this to Pope Francis saying that 3 angels told
him to expect "hellfire" before he arrives next
week...and we have a major "shit-storm" in our lap.

Hold on to your knickers!!

Linked this thread to a group on FB. None could like or share. So I found another video of the same thing, linked below and FB blocked me from posting it at all. Why?

Don't pick on me bc I am not one to post things like this but here is goes. Last night I woke up basically feeling like I was having a panic attack. The dream I woke up from involved my state of Pa to be shaking violently. I remember checking to see if their was an earthquake and it said there was one near Kansas??? It was a 10.3! No idea if that's even possible.

I'm just happy not to see 85+.

On the weather tonight, they said the 2015 was the hottest year on record. The weatherman said he didn't know how they came up with those numbers because though some places were hotter than normal, most were not. Colorado for instance was much cooler than normal, we never saw one 100 degree this summer, something we have done every year since I moved back in 1997. Many states were cool.
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

They've said the same on our local news here. Hottest year...hotter than last year.

For my area, I believe it.

And although I am actually looking forward to winter (winter doesn't bother me at all as far as temps go) it seems the general consensus is that this winter will be worse than last record breaking winter. That's almost hard to imagine. We got slammed last winter. Take away the shoveling and I would be fine with it lol. But jeez, that was intense!
 Quoting: Simple27

I. Don't. Miss. The. Shoveling.

Lol. The day I left Boston was a June 1. There was still one of those enormous black snow piles left in a DeMoula's parking lot. I smiled, knowing I would never shovel snow again!

But I miss watching it snow.

Took the words right out of my mouth lol. I left Buffalo last June and do not miss the winter, not one bit.

I wouldn't say impossible considering the NMF.

hiding

9.5 is the world's largest recorded EQ. In Chile.

"The Great Chilean Earthquake"

The World’s largest earthquake with an instrumentally documented magnitude occurred on May 22, 1960 near Valdivia, in southern Chile. It was assigned a magnitude of 9.5 by the United States Geological Survey. It is referred to as the "Great Chilean Earthquake" and the "1960 Valdivia Earthquake".

The United States Geological Survey reports this event as the "largest earthquake of the 20th Century". Other earthquakes in recorded history may have been larger, however this is the largest earthquake that has occurred since accurate estimates of magnitude became possible in the earnly 1900's.

chuckle

The last of the big snow piles in Boston didn't fully melt until the beginning of July! That's just crazy!

hf

If I didn't have to shovel it, I wouldn't mind the snow at all. Although last winter was so intense it became scary to drive even on a clear day because of the size of the piles of snow at each street corner. You couldn't see if someone was coming down the street you were turning onto until you were more than halfway out in the street.

It was a terrible winter for y'all Simple! My Boston girlfriends (who are all on the north shore) wouldn't talk to me because I had moved to a warmer climate lol. The winter of '07 was kinda like that with snow every few days, usually a foot or two. Then we had an ice storm in the middle of it. We ran out of places to put the snow. Had snow piles in our yard through June!

And yes, the snow banks in the corners....they sucked.

Well, if you ever need a warm place to escape to then let me know!
