Ramen and eggs. It doesn't look pretty, but it tasted good to poach eggs in ramen.

Not fair, you all got to have a nice lazy Sunday! My kids talked me into having an "all hors d'oeuvres" lunch/dinner. I was up til 4:30 am last night prepping for it, and finished cooking/baking during the Pats game, while everyone chowed down and went into a satisfying meat/carb coma, including yours truly. Hubby said it was great, just like the Super Bowl, and the kids are like, Mom, how about Calzones and blah blah blah during the next Pats weekend game.........

Like an idiot, I said maybe.........now I need to exercise my arse off to burn some of the carbs I ate earlier. Strange enough, though, I didn't eat too much, but was it ever filling! Surprised NH didn't have a slight earthquake in our area. flush

I'm making ghetto enchiladas again soon. The Hawks/Packers game isn't on unit 5:30.

Don't forget rice, rice really makes teriyaki good. When I cook rice for stirs fry or teriyaki, I don't rise it. It makes it sticky.
 Quoting: deanoZXT

I loves sticky rice Deano. Just met a thai woman in spin class. I think I talked her into bringing some papaya salad to class sometime.

Wilson and the gang have their work cut out tonight. Nice replay from the NFC championship last year. The Lions were heart-broken over their game with the Cowboys. The Boys with the Pack and the Pack with the Hawks. All those games had awesome finishes.

Then the Pats broke the Haawks heart in the last seconds.

Look forward to next weekends games and menu. Go Cards.

I think of all those heartbreaks from last year the Packers had it the worst. Epic fail. Rodgers is the best QB in football in my opinion, even on one leg .. lol.

The Top Five Reasons Why Ramen Noodles Are Tasty Little Death Traps
Ramen packs are meant to be more than one serving each which means twice the sodium and saturated fat for one person.

Unhealthiness aside, you can do a lot with a brick of ramen. Add so much stuff to it. My aunt even makes ramen chicken salad. You make cold chicken salad as usual, then just crunch up the ramen and add it to the mix. It sounds odd, but it's good.

Even our cats and dogs had a nice nap after the game. Of course, they had some nibbles of crab puffs and dessert (one of my Yorkies has a sweet tooth, lol).

...meanwhile at my place. If friends show up. I just get a couple tubes of soda crackers out, couple cans of canned fish, a jar of pearl onions and pimento stuffed olives for Hors d'oeuvres. But I do have the fancy long toothpicks with the color plastic wrap at the top.

Just FYI, when you're so sick fluids are flying out both ends. Just go lay in the bathtub. I've once has the Flu so bad, I had to do that. That was back in like 2003. I finally got to the hospital with help from a friend. I still think I caught the Swine Flu. Because about 5 months later it was all over the news and the Swine Flu craze. Anyone remember that?

mmmmmmmmm, soda crackers and olives- yummo! hors d'oeuvres are so much fun to make- really, if you're creative, you can throw lots of foods/spices together and make something tasty and unique. My family loves it because over the years, especially during the holidays, I make something new all the time along with some old favorites. This year for Christmas, I am doing a Christmas around the world for dinner with foods for all three courses from all over.

By the way, I have had the Ramen noodle salad- it is delicious!
