Quoting: Vegainzzz As per Dutch: Keep watch along the West Pacific .. the deep movement which occurred a few days ago carries on again today with a new round of deep earthquakes. This means we should see swarms of larger earthquakes, not just 1 or 2. Next several days should tell the tale on this new round of upwelling pressure from below the West Pacific. I wouldn't rule out a few (or several) new "unexpected" volcanic eruptions over the next week or so. |

My friend in California is a respiratory therapist, 49 yrs old, and not given to fanciful imagination. She was at work the time the EQ struck and said this: it felt like the floor was 'spongy' as if it was bending away under her feet as she tried to walk down a corridor and her equipment was jerking both to the left and right simultaneously, so much so that she pushed it against a wall and tried to stop its movements with her body. She has lived in California all of her life with the exception of military duty and stated that she has never felt anything this bizarre during an EQ.
She's a former field respiratory therapist in the military and doesn't scare easily. She's highly uneasy and watchful right now.
I usually don't post anecdotal information because its so subjective but thought at this time I should mention this. |

[ link to www.kirotv.com] [ link to pnsn.org] Quoting: deanoZXT From dutchsinse on Facebook:
Main stream media now reporting on the hundreds of earthquakes hitting around the Victoria / Seattle / Vancouver region after the M4.8 hit this past week.
The 'professionals' at the PNSN (pacific northwest seismic network) are now calling it a "slow slip".
[snip]
_____
They're (the PNSN is) calling it a "slow slip".
They wont' tell you, or admit it, but this "slow slip" will pick up speed again this coming week as the pressure has redeveloped in the West Pacific.
Expect more movement in the region in the near term. Another event near the same size or greater by 1 magnitude.
____
Also, coast of California needs to watch out -- same kind of M4.8 / M4.9 movement hit the Gorda Escarpment off the NW coast of California this past week .. we're not hearing anything about swarms off the coast, however I'd venture a guess that there is activity, we're just not being shown the movement on the feeds.
Quoting: CuriousSeeker I posted yesterday. It was just a small post. Should have added more. Not sure what channel I was on this morning, but the 'environmental specialist', Glen Farley news man (they always go to him when something nature happens) was talking to a Dr. of something at the University of Washington about it. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |
