I was going to go out and take down some of the Christmas decorations that are strapped onto my fence today because I knew it would be warmer outside today, but the rain is really coming down and I would get soaked!

Hopefully the rain will lighten up a bit. I'd like to get the multiple 2 foot candy canes and big red bows off my fence now that it's January 10th.

Hahaha! We still have our decorations up, including the tree!
 Quoting: bigD111

that is right keep the tree up till it turns brown is what I say

and keep the X-Mass Lights up all year long to much of a

hassle to put them up and take them down
Quoting: Zombie Daddy in a Box

I'm keeping the lights around my front door up all year. Did the same last year, but I'll take the lights off of the railings. Not sure about the lights on the fence yet.

My fake tree is still up but is bare. No lights or ornaments. Lol, slowly but surely it'll all get done. Most of the inside decor has been put away.

I think I'm gonna rough it and just get out there and do it. I'm terribly bored right now and once I switch the laundry I'll have nothing to do for 45 minutes.

Bring it rain!

You? Last I knew you had a daughter. Send her out in the rain to take them down. My dad always made me go out and do things like that in bad weather. After all isn't that why people have kids, to do chores?

My favorite was when my dad told me to go weed the garden or the plant beds in the rain. He told me that's when it's easiest to pull them out, when the soil is wet. I didn't even question that until I was like 11.

Before she started school she would be with one of them all day and into the early evening when I would get home from work. Spoiling the sh*t out of her. And since starting school my mom would pick her up afterwards and keep her until I got home from work. Yes, thank God for my mom! But we do things differently and my daughter wouldn't be nearly as spoiled if things were done my way...by both sets of grandparents.

Oh well. Out to the rain I go!

Lol, I like the other guy's answer...NOTHING! Haha!!! I would love that, but it wouldn't last long. I'd get bored. I would keep my job, but switch to part time. I'd do that now if I could afford to, but I can't with my current costs. It would make getting the rest of life's daily needs done a lot easier to have that extra time.

Yep. We're usually warmer. But these kind of wind chill temps and lower are pretty normal. It's when the actual temps drop below zero that's not. Thank G-d we don't have many of those!

yikes! wtfpoint2

No, lol, the little black dog in the background is Jumping Jack Flash, or Jack for short. Named so because he has a bad habit I keep trying to break him of of trying to jump up and lick face on everyone he meets. He is just superfriendly like that. At least he does know not to jump on smaller children and when I sharply yell at him, he will get "down", and yeah it's an issue, but at the same time there is a free spirit to him and love in him I really don't want to change.

anyway, here is a closer pic of him. This is the last pic of him I got with my camera before it got stolen when it was in my purse that got stolen. I got a name on who did that from the police, but there is a part of me that is too nervous to find out for some reason any details about her online. I have so many resentments in life already, that is one more I don't want to add to the list, so am just letting the police handle the matter since I've already done what I can do where that matter is concerned.

Anyway, Jack is half Boston Terrier and half Border Collie:
