Sorry for not responding yesterday, I logged onto GLP then my husband tore his rotator cuff [two non-related incidences btw lol]. I was showing being on all day but was not reading GLP except in fits and starts. Just catching up now. Quoting: -Haun- Is he okay? Quoting: Simple27 For now, yes. Today is Radiology Day and we will most likely be there for the better part of the day. I put his arm in a sling to relieve pressure and also administered prescribed pain medication. Stay warm my friend : ) Quoting: Simple27 We here also having "cold" temperatures, very unusual pattern, if you go outside you may feel a cold breeze while the Sun torture your skin with her rays. I'm having a mini-cold-flu because of this. We are not accustomed to this bipolar weather here. Almost the entire year is hot, the cold usually is in the morning, because the cold wind go down from the mountains to the coast but now the past weeks cold extended during the day, which is weird. And then the Sun rays hurting the skin. |

Thanks kunda! Quoting: Simple27 The 4 foot drop yesterday is very interesting... "In the year 1700, a similar movement of plates is believed to have been the cause of a Magnitude 9.0 earthquake, which devastated the west coast of north America, and generated an ocean Tsunami that washed inland upwards of ten MILES!" FOUR MEAGER FEET OF WATER? "Lest you think that four feet of ocean depth is nothing to be concerned about, be reminded that the entire column of water . . . all 8985 feet of it . . . is what dropped four feet. And it did so over an area several miles wide!" "When the tectonic plate snaps back upward, it can launch that entire 8985 foot column of water upward and toward the shore!" "As the continental shelf rises toward the shore (the ocean gets more shallow) that 8985 foot column of water starts accumulating upon itself as it moves toward shore, becoming one massive wave, perhaps 45-50 feet tall, that hits the shore for twenty minutes." Nothing may happen but I'd sure be ready for something in the short term. |
