My baby!!! Two separate cakes. One for the day as family is coming in from Texas and Florida. Then another, the big one for her grad party a week or so later. 1st will be just a simply graduation cake with the large grad cap on top and the following saying written on the top "____ was given a diploma, ____ is free" (the play on Dobby getting a sock. I will gather a few pictures of her growing up, take them to a local cake place that does print outs and have them print the pictures in edible sheets, then place them on the cake. The 2nd will be Harry Potter themed and huge. Told her she could have anything she wanted and of course it had to be something complicated like Harry Potter!!! It will be tall with all the main things like the train, Sorting Hat, Hedwig the snowy owl, the wands, Hogwarts, figures of the main characters, Hagrid and many more. Now, I only have to get well so that I have the energy to get this done. Need to start on a few things soon as they will take a long time to make!!! Sniff sniff.... |

Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated This is what I am talking about. This is today's update on Indian Point: "An apparent overflow at a nuclear power plant north of New York City spilled highly radioactive water into an underground monitoring well, but nuclear regulators said the public isn't at risk. Officials at the Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan, 40 miles north of Manhattan, reported on Friday that water contaminated by tritium leaked into the groundwater under the facility. The contamination has remained contained to the site, said Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who ordered the state's environmental conservation and health departments to investigate. "Our first concern is for the health and safety of the residents close to the facility and ensuring the groundwater leak does not pose a threat," Cuomo said Saturday in a statement. The leak occurred after a drain overflowed during a maintenance exercise while workers were transferring water, which has high levels of radioactive contamination, said Neil Sheehan, a spokesman for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. [ link to hisz.rsoe.hu] They use the term "highly radioactive water" "underground monitoring well"(read that as aquifer) and "public isn't at risk" in the same sentence. BULLSHIT Quoting: Bodiless Even if earthquake risk weren’t enough to make continuing operations at Indian Point sufficiently questionable, the Algonquin Incremental Market (AIM) Project to install a high-pressure gas pipeline extension — running through the facility’s property — should be. Despite challenges to halt or redirect the project, which, according to Law360 was originally approved by both the NRC and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on January 28, 2016, the project received the green light. Though the details and controversy about the AIM extension are too lengthy to cover here, one brief description reported by Truthout in April 2015 explained the basics: “Paul Blanch is a professional engineer with nearly five decades of experience in nuclear safety, engineering operations and federal regulatory requirements. He has security clearance for his work, and is a nuclear industry proponent. He has worked with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission since its inception and with utility corporations across the United States, including Entergy.” In other words, as the Pontiac Tribune previously reported, Blanch is by all accounts an industry insider. Blanch told Truthout, “I’ve had over 45 years of nuclear experience and [experience in] safety issues. I have never seen [a situation] that essentially puts 20 million residents at risk, plus the entire economics of the United States by making a large area surrounding Indian Point uninhabitable for generations. I’m not an alarmist and haven’t been known as an alarmist, but the possibility of [this] gas line interacting with [this] plant could easily cause a Fukushima type of release.” [ link to www.dcclothesline.com] Quoting: gmigriff ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
