EVALUATION

NO DESTRUCTIVE WIDESPREAD TSUNAMI THREAT EXISTS BASED ON
HISTORICAL EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI DATA.

HOWEVER - EARTHQUAKES OF THIS SIZE SOMETIMES GENERATE LOCAL
TSUNAMIS THAT CAN BE DESTRUCTIVE ALONG COASTS LOCATED WITHIN
A HUNDRED KILOMETERS OF THE EARTHQUAKE EPICENTER. AUTHORITIES
IN THE REGION OF THE EPICENTER SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS
POSSIBILITY AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.

Hmmmmmm. Very strange pattern.

All of these 6.5s in regions completely opposite from the one that hasn't had any significantly large earthquake in 20 years - California.

Makes me think that the Cascadia Subduction Zone is generating enormous pressure so much so that the pull of this pressure is now starting to cause earthquakes on other areas of the pacific plate.

That site is inaccurate. They have posted three 6.7s that occurred in California earlier this year (which didn't happen...)

Also I believe teleMB is a human user who just posts random values for whatever reason. No idea why.

Then you agree that the pattern for frequency & intensity in geographic location remains common over previous times. Just want to clarify what you stated.

If you have been following these quakes on a regular basis you would know that they have been steadily increasing in magnitude intensity in different locations on the Pacific plate on a cyclical basis. They start as 4s, then 5s, then 6s, then the cycle starts over again. All in Japan, Indonesia/Papua New Guinea/New Zealand area, Chile. Usually over the period of a few weeks.

There WERE 6s every two weeks. Now there are 6s every week.

True - these earthquake prone regions are going to see the increase in pattern and frequency with whatever we're experiencing - whether it's the effects of comet ison or pressure along the opposite region of the Pacific plate. I'm just stating what this data makes me think. I could be totally wrong.

My response was to the AC, my personal feelings are if a baseline is traced in itself, historically it might not be a great anomaly as I do not have the data but feel this... From limited personal experience,
Yet in the whole as you stated I have never known or been able to model a time when, due to globalization and other factors,
the vulnerability of the collective species to these events has been greater.

if you had been watching quakes as long as i have then you would see there is nothing at all unusual with this years quakes, well actually i suppose you could say the fact we havent had as many this year as we normally do on a yearly average could be classed as unusual if need be, but then mother nature isnt reliable so nothing new there.
