Lurker !

Still can't believe I outed that story, but I laughed so hard when he brought that up. Bit of a wild child in those younger years, especially the teens. But, I did manage to help keep 2 brothers and 2 sisters housed and fed and got mom through college.

I made a huge Russet baker potato for lunch. I'd call it fully loaded, but I didn't add cheese. I don't like cheese on potatoes, not even chili cheese fries. I find to get the huge Russets, I have to go to the bin and pick them out. It seems the last several years when you buy a 10lb bag of Russets, they just aren't huge like they used to be. Anyone else notice that?

 Quoting: deanoZXT

Yeah, you get one maybe two big ones for baking and the rest are little, only good for cubing or mashing.

Edit, just checked the pic and that's a MONSTER!!!

Krogers here has been selling 10# bags of the russet bakers. They're HUGE. I thought they were GMO, they're so big.

And there's the standard Idaho...they're puny
 Quoting: JazzyG

About the size average a Russet out a 5lb bag. Then some of the good baking size Russets I picked out my self, from the big bin. The ones out of the bin are not huge like I've seen before. But the ones from the bag, are so not big enough for a baked potato.

I know a lot of people think it's nasty. But I always eat the skin. That's where all the fiber is you know. I scrub potatoes with the rough side a sponge. No, not a nasty sponge. I have a sponge for dishes and a sponge just for veggies and fruits.

I eat the skins too ususally. I rub olive oil on the outside of a clean spud then I have this amazing black Hawaiian Sea Salt in a grinder that I put on the outside. Makes for a yummy skin.

See, you know what I mean about that's where all the fiber is. But dish soap? That just seems odd to me. But makes sense, they are grown in dirt. I scrub by potatoes very well. But doing that then dish soap, would for sure make sure to get all the worm poop off.

Actually, leaving a little dirt and worm poop on is probably a good thing. Food is sooooo sanitized today that we are deficient in a lot of nutrients. I take fulvic acid (from ancient pea moss bogs) to supplement.

Man hijacked bus, forced it to stop at Tim Hortons
[link to www.thestar.com]

Summary of the story.
The man hijacked the bus at knife point. All the passengers forced off the bus, he then told the bus driver to run all red lights to the nearest Tim Hortons. Got off the bus, entered the Tin Hortons and called 911. Told the operator he had overdosed on drugs.

If you ever get a chance to experience a Tibetan Bowl, Chinese gong healing session, I highly recommend it. The lady came to my yoga studio tonight. Talk about OMG! You get into a bit of a lucid dreaming like trance. All healing in the future will be done via sound, vibration, harmonics. I went in with all kinds of frigged up pain in my right shoulder (from the chiropractor no less, who couldn't get the right adjustment done on Thursday).

Anyway, I set the intention for the sound to heal and by the end, all the pain in the shoulder was gone. We just laid on yoga mats on the floor, with blankets and pillows and low lights with a little incense burning. Cost was $20.00. She let us hit the gongs and bowls ourselves afterwards if we wanted. I was out in space and then under the ocean with the whales, it was soo cool.
