Most of the snow melted at it hit. We got 1.5 inches of rain/water. 7 inches of snow officially, thought it looked a lot deeper to me. This stuff it super heavy, slush when you are shoveling.

They postponed Prom until May 5th. Seniors last day is May 11th and Grad on May 16th. Talk about making it even crazier for busy. Most of the kids seem good with the postponement. The roads were a nightmare....slush is much worse than snow packed and icy. Slush gets in the tire treads and you don't have any kind of traction whatsoever!.

We have a lot of minor tree branches down all over the backyard. All green leafed ones. Couldn't take down the dead ones that we still need to prune away!!! lol

The most significant hazards from induced seismicity are in six states, listed in order from highest to lowest potential hazard: Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Arkansas. Oklahoma and Texas have the largest populations exposed to induced earthquakes.

USGS research geophysicist Morgan Moschetti helped author the report. He says the forecast's higher short-term earthquake risk for the New Madrid area is based on an increase in the number of small earthquakes in the region over the past few years. Horton says it is normal for the rate to fluctuate over time and adds that the long-term rate remains generally consistent

There is so much valid and important information that has been brushed under the rug...it is very concerning especially with everything unfolding. And what I find the most troubling, is that many people don't even know about this. Thanks again for your post. I hope you and everyone here has a wonderful day.

The most significant hazards from induced seismicity are in six states, listed in order from highest to lowest potential hazard: Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Arkansas. Oklahoma and Texas have the largest populations exposed to induced earthquakes.

See those states not sure why but this line has bothered me for almost 3 days now even though it is wind look at it

I know may worry about California , New Madrid is worrisome because of what we have done in human activity even though we deny grouphug

Thanks for your post GFG. The information you posted made me think of this thread from 2010. I think this thread is quite relevant at this point in time. There is so much valid and important information that has been brushed under the rug...it is very concerning especially with everything unfolding. And what I find the most troubling, is that many people don't even know about this. Thanks again for your post. I hope you and everyone here has a wonderful day.

Cascadia Region-coasts of Oregon, Washington, and Canada. 2. Many faults in and near Los Angeles. 3. A repeat of the 1811-1812 New Madrid Events, Just to name a few!

Just so much information in this thread.

Good catch, WA.

Hey, how much snow did you end up getting this weekend? Hope it wasn't too bad and that your daughter still had prom!
 Quoting: KickinIt

Couldn't take down the dead ones that we still need to prune away!!! lol

Thanks for asking and bighugs
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

Altogether we had 2.5 inches of moisture out of this storm. Hard to gauge how much snow actually fell here, our mountain is still white but starting to see bare spots. The main mountains are still very white. They probably got 2-3 feet at least up there.
 Quoting: bigD111

Same here and it is actually still snowing but now melting as it hits again. Parts of our mountains got over 4 feet of snow. The rain gauge officially is now almost 2 inches. Still can't see the mountains here, still hazy with low visibility

What a godsend for the semi arid west! Best start to the summer for us in 5 years I think!
