I just prepared a KILLER raspberry cobbler (raspberries from my garden from last year)!!! It's in the oven and omg. Drool.

I spent the entire day painting an entire room. I taped off a herringbone pattern and went at it. I'm in love!!!

And tomorrow morning in my Anatomy and Physiology class, we have our first midterm. KILL ME. Last Saturday I had the worst migraine ever and did not retain a single thing. So now I'm sitting here and having to go over everything from scratch, and ALSO study on the past 4 weeks of things I've already learned. I'm dreading this test.

And AND ...

I'm getting sick. :( My throat just started hurting like 3 hours ago, and it's progressively MUCH worse. It's coming on so fast!!! UGH! If I wake up feeling terrible I have no idea how I'm going to make it through 8am-4pm of college.

But I have cobbler. And I got accepted into the colleges Ophthalmic Medical Tech program. So there's that.

ANYWAYS HI GUYZ!

So, San Jacinto fault had an earthquake yesterday, then the Pine Mountain Fault, now the Clearwater fault.

Magnitude 2.7
Region SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Date time 2016-04-23 10:59:06.5 UTC

Depth 3 km

Look at that depth!!!!!!

This one is directly on the Clearwater fault per USGS.

The Clearwater fault hasn't ruptured for a long time. They do not state anything about which part of the quaternary period, so do we assume 1.6 million years or 10,000 years since it last ruptured?

[link to scedc.caltech.edu]

Most recent surface rupture: Quaternary (details below)

[link to scedc.caltech.edu]

Quaternary

The period of geologic time starting 1.6 million years ago and continuing to the present day. It is divided into two epochs: the Pleistocene and the Holocene, with the division between these two falling at about 10,000 years before the present.

Late Quaternary refers to the time between 700,000 years ago and the present day. It does not necessarily exclude the Holocene epoch.

Pre-Quaternary refers to any time before 1.6 million years ago.

I wanted to share some pics. I planted the pepper and Fava Bean starts Monday or Tuesday. I found the Swamp area Yesterday. Just not getting around to uploading them until this afternoon.

The entrance to the Hen House is creepy, I like it. You walk into a small shed with tools and a few big trash cans of their food and scratch mix. Then through a tiny, dark spider filled hallway. The hen house is pretty small. Six egg stalls on each wall.

I see one of the chickens in the background, garden looks well organized. I see that sprinkler, I will be getting one of those, great idea.
 Quoting: Isis One

First off, sorry, but not drunk me chasing the ducks into the water. It didn't upload correctly and I had deleted the video of the SD card

The garden isn't big. About 25ft by 45ft. I planted the two peppers and fava bean. I want a tomato too. The other room mates are more into leafy and root veggies. Like Leeks, Kale, Rhubarb and you get the idea. I'd like things like Radishes and carrots. They do have lots of Cucumbers from seed sprouting now. For when they make pickles in a few months. One day I'll go out and look at all they planted. The garden is more for fill in. It's not like we're all totally living off what we're growing.

I must say, I love having fresh eggs. About 4 to 7 eggs every evening. I think everyone should have a couple chickens, even in the city.

We're going to go to the barn and clean out the meat chicken coupe and spread more hay. Several are big enough to slaughter I'm told. Odds are we're having fresh chicken tonight. If so, pics to follow.

I could be wrong. It was just explained to me once. A chicken can be cooked right after slaughter. Otherwise I think they need to be in the fridge two days, then cook or freeze. Something about rigormortise stages and death stuff. They do have this medieval looking metal contraption, that's the size of a washing machine that the dead chicken goes in and it tumbles the feathers off.

The solar flaring is in cardiac arrest but that will change when two new sunspot groups, quite bright and tall by the eastern limb, are coming into view.

The big plasma filament has stayed intact for now and attached to the sun like a baby to its mother's nipple. It is unsure when that filament will release but its probable it will not be while earth facing. Keeping an eye on it nevertheless.

The huge coronal hairy eye hole is slowly passing from view but southern coronal holes [earth unfriendly and negatively charged] will be earth facing soon. We are in between coronal holes right now but those southern holes might be problematic later. They usually are.

Eyes open. No fear.
