Mt. St. Helens to erupt soon?

On May 18, 1980, a major volcanic eruption occurred at Mount St. Helens, a volcano located in the state of Washington, United States. The eruption (a VEI 5 event) was the only significant volcanic eruption to occur in the contiguous 48 U.S. states since the 1915 eruption of Lassen Peak in California.[1] The eruption was preceded by a two-month series of earthquakes and steam-venting episodes, caused by an injection of magma at shallow depth below the volcano that created a huge bulge and a fracture system on the mountain's north slope.

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Although there are no signs of an imminent eruption, the volcano is recharging, scientists say.

Mount St. Helens is in Washington state, 95 miles south of Seattle and about 55 miles northeast of Portland, OR.

The earthquakes have been measured at a magnitude of 0.5 or less and the largest was at 1.3. They've been measured about 1.2 to four miles underneath the surface. With such small magnitudes and such depths, you wouldn't be able to feel the earthquakes on the surface.

But it's not the magnitude that has gotten scientists attention -- it's the frequency.

[link to www.cnn.com]

Come on...Mt. St. Helens is about to erupt again. Can we say 5/18/2016 anyone? Give or take a few days?
 Quoting: CuriousSeeker

I agree, and I think its extremely important to keep a tight watch over her. Something obviously is happening but the question for me is its impact on the fragile zones around her. I have no idea what their emergency systems are like or if there have been any alerts, but I'm hoping those that might be possibly affected by an eruption know this and are preparing.

Why am I not surprised that this is so close to Taiwan?

We could be in for an 8.0+ quake in Taiwan in the next 24-48 hours.

Be on watch.

Those Billions Obama Gave Iran? Here’s What They Funded

Iran’s new propaganda video, “Martyrs who defend the sacred shrine,” was recently broadcast on state media throughout Iran to inspire children to become soldiers.

This initiative is just another made possible by the billions of dollars Obama illegally sent Iran. A country, whose government, despite taking Obama’s billions, has declared America its sworn enemy and the “Great Satan.”

From Dutchsinse's FB page (not posting link since FB links are frowned upon)

"A new larger deep earthquake has struck below the West Pacific in the Asthenosphere underneath Fiji.

The earthquake was a M5.2 at a depth of 332 miles (535km).

Usually we see follow up shallower larger earthquakes strike nearby (adjacent to) the deep earthquake epicenter.

The shallower earthquake(s) which strike after the deep movement are usually 1-2 magnitudes larger than the deep earthquake.

Thus, a M5.2 can produce up to a M7.2 in an adjacent area within a few days or less from the point of the deep earthquake."

Hi, thank you for the link. I remember "folkworm" from the helicorders around LA sinkhole. Is there a map which helicorder belongs to which place - like the map on the page isthisthingon? It's a bit difficult to find out which places are interesting to watch.
