Yes that is scary as hell! Thought enters the mind once in awhile...
1. They Know...
2. Why would they tell us?
Quoting: AKObserver They wouldn't. It would cause mass panic and that mass panic would actually cause more death than trying to evacuate the 500 mile radius around the volcano. NOW that is scary when you think about it.
People are weird and when there is a crisis, the evil roams free and the innocent are usually caught in the middle.
I remember a couple of years ago someone asking the question: If you knew of a major disaster coming that would kill millions, would you give this info out to the public? This sparked very ugly heated debates with many so upset that there were those who would not say anything at least in the early days. They felt like this was the cruelest feeling possible, to keep people in the dark.
For those who know me on here, they know I am a kind hearted Christian woman, who tries to live like Christ taught and not how many churches are nowadays. I happened to be one of those who would hold on to the info for a while, only giving a weeks notice. People actually compared me to the evil gooberment. it was a very sobering time for me. Even when I explained why, there were still hard feelings.
My reasons were simple.
With pending doom coming, those who are evil - and there are more of them than we would like to believe - would not care about the "law of the land" that keeps them under control at this point in time. Every pedophile, psycho murderer, evil person out there would no longer care and would pounce on the public by the 1,000's. Crime would go through the roof. Every roadway within a 1,000 miles of Wyoming would be clogged and no one would get anywhere. Every store would be looted. Home invasions would go crazy.
I haven't changed my mind much in all this time though I would likely give the info out in small doses or at least give false flags that would make areas close to the disaster evacuated without setting off crazy panic. Not after watching how people react to disasters. Yes, I am aware that means I wouldn't be told what was about to happen but at least I understand why the info would be withheld. When you think about things all the way through, you can at least understand some of "their" reasoning, even when you don't agree with it.
I would want to know, so I could get out of dodge as quickly as possible to save my family any way possible. So would millions of others. It would be a nightmare! It would be one of those times that we would pray God Save Us All
