Gonna catch a few hours nap now, turkey goes into the oven at 11:00 tonight then slow bakes with lots of basting until tomorrow. I cook it on low heat, takes about twelve hours depending on the size of the turkey. The one my husband bought looks like a small buffalo. Lots of tasty smells throughout the night. WA, I bet your house smells like the most delicious perfume. See you later, good people. Quoting: -Haun- Have a good nap Haun : ) ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Quoting: bigD111 We did that one year - yuck. The soda can worked better without making it sweet. My Great-grandma used to get up at the crack of dawn and put the turkey in. Never understood it as it only takes about 3 1/2-4 hours for a 19 pound turkey. Now I am thinking it was because she slow roasted it. To add, ours it always juicy and fall off the bone tender. No one else ate it, lol. She was so upset but the guy who loved her ate it and he didn't get sick. Maybe "The Accidental Tourist"? Or something like that. follower of Jesus |
