I hope you had a nice Christmas jo! I know this was the first one without your mom too. hugs

I did and thanks for asking. I took my Dad over to my aunts for a Christmas brunch with a few family relatives. He would normally have stayed for a couple of hours and we ended up staying for 7 hours and it was great fun with the relatives and watching Christmas shows on TV. I hope that your health is stable and improving. Best wishes. John

On the other hand, I ordered my laptop! Decided to splurge and got a Dell 17" fully decked-out with the options: 512 GB solid state hard drive, 16 GB RAM, and NVIDIA Geforce 2GB dedicated video.

My 13.3" late 2011 Macbook Pro w/4GB RAM is going bye-bye pretty soon LOL

The only reason I remembered it is because it was the only one! After we all talked about no sizeable aftershocks I went back to look and found it.

In regards to what CS said about ear ringing, I have had a lot of ear ringing going on the past few days. Like, a couple of times a day which is not normal for me - I'm not one of those who gets that a lot.

My ears are ringing today. Last evening, I was watching a movie, laying on the couch, and all of a sudden my right ear popped and started ringing. It was probably around 10:30 pm MST, I wondered what was going on!

Hello again!

Although I'm sure all are relieved no large quakes have followed and hope nothing will manifest, this lull could go either way. I gathered a few examples how it might unfold.

USGS adding a 5.6 while other agencies did not even report it does not change anything. Aftershocks were and are minimal to the Chile event. Only one 4.5+ in the last 24 hours.

Basically we have until around 12/29 to find out. Until that be prepared to witness a major event. Location, no hunch this time.. any place with many 4+ events happening before 12/29 could be a clue. No clear indication yet.
