Hello all! Glad to be back and posting behind own country flag. Range-ban ended.

[link to i.imgsafe.org (secure)] - made this regarding the Northern Peru event earlier today. Changed also imagehost to avoid any confusion :)

Searched all 5.5+ within 100 miles of Northern Peru event today. Indonesia had profound correlation yet again, with Halmahera as a specific location. We already had two 5.5 there, could have been fore-shocks. This Peru pattern tells 7+ for Halmahera or Indonesia in general.

As KickinIt and Swiss AC (Abuyan) already correctly suggested deep EQ migration going on again.

Yay, good to see the Finland flag!

I just watched part of Dutch's latest video posted yesterday. It was a long one and I couldn't bring myself to listen to all of it, but what I did hear was the potential for a 5.5-range quake near the coast of far northern cali, which will then create another large swarm near central CA/NV border again. He also expects the bigger EQs at CA/NV from a few days ago to start hitting in OK by means of a swarm that will grow in number and intensity up to around a mag 4. He also predicted the 6.3 Fiji quake today, but thought it would be in the mid to upper 5 range and would not break the 6 threshold.

edit for spelling*
 Quoting: KickinIt

Thank you for compiling the forecasts =) I simply don't have enough time to watch all those videos. Dutch has his own way of doing things and he is for the most part really good at it. What's great about his work which I now have come to appreciate that he also tries to forecast smaller quakes, that has to be really tedious work. Here we tend to focus on 6+ and sometimes even 7+...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73443188

The strength and weakness of naming many locations is that it's hard to pinpoint what didn't happen but easy to claim hits. If we here throw 100 darts some of them hit the board :) Not saying this is the case with Dutch because there are many genuine hits, but generally speaking about EQ forecasting. Speaking of which, haven't had any success lately.. maybe it's more fruitful only to post correlations..

You make good points. And I agree, I like that Dutch focuses on the small quakes and not just big ones. The Japan one just a short while ago was a hit for him. Pretty much the exact location and magnitude he suggested.

I like your approach with the correlations. Obviously any patterns should be noted and factored in. It might not be as specific as naming an exact location and magnitude, but it's just as good in my book.

Maybe. It was just noticeable to me that things quieted a bit this afternoon. That always worries me, especially after some of the quakes we had today. Seems like there should be more activity.

It could be me though. I'm a little out of it today. Not feeling well.
