Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
For those that cannot make it to the store, but want to store a lot of drinking water very quickly, take an (unscented) garbage bag, and stick it in the bathtub or some container that will support it, and fill it with drinking water. There is nothing cheaper or quicker. If you want to plan for a power outage, fill up as many bottles of water as you can and stick them in your freezer, to place in the fridge to keep things cold. You can keep your food from spoiling a lot longer by wrapping your fridge in heavy blankets if you lose power. Same for coolers. Wrap blankets around them.

You're welcome.

Few other things to take into consideration.

Some purification tablets in case you're in a hurry: [link to www.amazon.com]

I also keep natural charcoal (emphasis on natural, no additives) and cheesecloth around so I can create a make shift water filter to remove particulates before I boil to purify. The charcoal serves a couple other purposes too. It's a great fire starter and in the event that I consume something toxic such as plants, or less than fresh game, I can ingest some charcoal to absorb the toxins and hopefully survive what ails me.
[link to www.amazon.com]

Also, it's always a good idea to keep bleach on hand, it kills almost every virus or bacteria out there. You can purify water, maintain your hygiene and clean with it, especially in the event modern convenience goes away.

In case of an emergency, your hot water heater is filled with drinking water. (That is if it is not damaged in an earthquake) All you have to do is turn the spout at the bottom of it, and depending on the size, you probably have at least 40 gallons of water.

Also, you can turn on your washing machine, let it fill with water, then turn it off before it goes into the wash cycle. That's another quick way to store water.

Forgot to add one more thing.

Iodine - I need to get some myself but it has multiple purposes. Purifies water, it's a great disinfectant in case you get any cuts or abrasions and in the event of nuclear fallout, put some on your skin, like lotion, and you will absorb it, specifically your thyroid, and it does the same thing as potassium iodide pills.

Great idea on the wash machine, never thought of that before.

I'd like to add to the water heater trick though. Make sure you shut off the incoming supply so you do not allow contaminated water in. Leave the output line open and when you notice you are getting less flow out of the drain on the water heater, open up the faucet farthest away from the water heater, this will allow air into the system and whatever water is in the pipes will drain back into the water heater tank for your use.

A really quick water storage idea is, get a trash can, swab it out with bleach, throw a new trash bag into it, fill it with a garden house and put the lid on.

I have a new cheap plastic 32 gallon trashcan that I keep around just for emergency water storage.

Sounds like you are set. Good for you. I wish others would take safety/survival a little more seriously. People always think they can get to the store before trouble hits.

^^This^^

Everyone should have at least 3 months worth of food in their homes at all time and at least one month of water for every member of your family/group. We live in unsettled times that don't require TEOTWAWKI for the SHTF in your neighborhood, town, city or state.

Prepare those bug-out-bags, get-home-bags and be prepared at home to live without a store for at least 3 months.

God Bless to all on this Good Friday!

WA, you used to have a link to your blog in your sig, but it's no longer there. Is it still up and running? You have a world of great info on prepping and I'd love for you to share your blog link with everyone if it's still up and you're willing to do so. hf

Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
Hi Cowgirl,

The Illuminati has been planning these deliberate earthquakes/tsunamis/volcanic eruptions/meteor attacks for at least 50 years or so.

9/11 was planned before the WTC towers were even built.
3/11 Japan, 12/26 Indonesia, etc. were planned at the same time as 9/11. All these attacks are connected to apocalyptic attacks on April 20.

It is all explained here.

[link to www.facebook.com (secure)]

Proof that 9/11, 3/11, 12/26, 1/12 Haiti, Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Sandy, the Super Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, etc. were all deliberately perpetrated and hidden or embedded within Hollywood productions.

You may have seen YouTube videos with hidden 9/11 references in Hollywood films. ALL the false flags, hurricanes, Sandy Hook, Aurora, Boston, Columbine, etc. come out of Judaeo-Masonry and Hollywood, and they are all documented on the link I provided, plus their kabbalistic number system by which they connect all attacks has been cracked.

9/11 was about 4.20.14 and 3/11 was all about 4.19.14 - 4.20.14

and 12.24.14 - 12.25.14

It's all documented here. The deliberate Korean ferry boat sinking, plans to trigger eruptions of Mt. Hod in Oregon, a landslide in the Canary Islands to hit the Eastern Seaboard,
San Francisco, Sydney, and Scandinavia, etc.

Proof of all the prior false flags plus the apocalyptic ones for 2014.

I gotta say something. Never ever use garbage bags. They are treated with chemicals to keep rats, bugs and other pests away. There are food grade bags you can get from restaurant supply stores if this is something you want to do. Or, save soda pop 2-liter bottles or juice bottles. Wash them out with a little dish soap and bleach. Shake, pour into the next bottle and let sit for about 10-15 minutes to continue to disinfect. Then rinse well. Fill half way with tap water and then add 1-2 drops of regular, unscented bleach. Get a dowel or chop stick, dip into the bleach and allow the 1-2 drops to drip into the bottle, then fill the rest of the way. Don't forget to wash and bleach and rinse the lids. Seal bottles, and write the date you filled. Some people say to rotate every 6 months. I wait 18 months to 2 years before rotating. You are rotating to keep the plastic from breaking down into your drinking water. If the water tastes flat and stall, pour back and forth between two containers to add oxygen back into the water. It will taste fresh then.

If you don't drink soda pop, ask friends to save them for you. Never ever use milk jugs as the bacteria from the milk will leach into the plastic and you will never get it out, even with bleach. You can use them for grey water; flushing toilets and cleaning clothes, but not drinking or bathing in.

Another thing to store water in, is a Water Bob. They are used to line a bath tub with and holds about 100 gallons of water. They are about $20 on Amazon. My brother made two wooden boxes, reinforced on the corners with metal brackets. Must be reinforced or the weight of the water will bust the sides out. By filling his tub and the two Water Bob's that he places in the wooden boxes, he has 300 gallons of water. Think outside the box (pun intended, lol) and you can come up with cheap or free ways to store water without spending $100 on a water storage container.

Water is life - without water, there is not life.

Hi Simple

Tried to have a energetic walk today. My husband, dog and I lasted 30 mins by the faultline and felt exhausted (dog included). We have come home and got horizontal now. No energy for anything.

All these big quakes - strange times.

I got one of these and keep it in the bathroom.

Also got a couple of these in case I have to drink from a less than desirable water source:

For each person in your family you should have two of those straws and kept in your BOB's (bug-out-bags). Remember the prepper saying: one is none and two is one.
