How were the parades yesterday Kickin?
Quoting: Simple27 I keep trying to reply to this with some detail, but it won't post. I cannot for the life of me figure out what word I would possibly be using that it won't post. Anyway, I will shorten things by saying it was a good time. It was cold, but we weren't outside all that long. Went early and checked out the floats in the staging area before the parade set off, then went to a blues bar. Heard a couple of good bands there. By the time it started getting packed hours later, we were ready to take off. As we have gotten older, we have found it's the perfect way for us to do Mardi Gras - we still get to soak it all in, but not deal with the mayhem of the crowds or the weather. And we're home early! lol |

I apologize for the outburst. It was in no way because of your actions. It was unprofessional and immature. I just simply snapped that day due to various stressful situations. That is not an excuse however.
I will not behave that way again. These predictions are meant to be shared, anyway.
I also have some thoughts that need to be shared about quakes:
If not for thebarcaroller/solarwatcher, I would not have known the potential for 8+ during this timeframe. Regardless of that, the Northwestern Sakha event would have made me to do a search anyway and conclude that indeed there was a potential for a very large quake. So the two different methods are actually confirming each other.
What to expect:
The patterns say an event will most likely hit Alaska or Aleutian Islands. That per Sakha event and many other quakes as of late. The highest correlation quake was an 8.0 in the sample in Alaska. When we combine what thebarcaroller has predicted with patterns, we get a crude approximation of an event exceeding 8 magnitude based on Alaska or Aleutian Islands. That location can produce such a quake easily with largest one at 9.2.
Again, all the credit goes to thebarcaroller but this is what the data is showing as most probable.

Also, these locations are more than capable of producing massive earthquakes which would tie in with the planetary alignment potential of 8+. Tsunami included. Plus they have been fairly quiet. Aleutian Islands (Andreanof, Fox) Alaska Peninsula Kamchatka (not as much as the Alaska ones)
- Update: Hubei, China and Scotia Sea further correlated strongly with Alaska and Aleutian Islands 6+... should be way bigger coming than what today has offered so far for them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71598473 So in total the patterns have Bolivia, Hubei,China, Scotia Sea and Northwestern Sakha quakes all implying Alaska and Aleutian Islands... that is many locations. So this is the basis of the location claim. -Finland |

I don't have any specific knowledge currently indicating it being imminent. Will of course post if something comes along.
The Tokai region alone is anticipating an 8+ because the average has been about 167 years. We are now at 163.
If you are referring to the Sagami Trough lying closer to Tokyo, those statistics I don't know. But it going off would be ten times worse of course because it's closer. In 1923 the Great Kanto earthquake killed around 120 000.

When we add the 8.5 potential indicated by thebarcaroller we get gloomy results.
Severnaya Zemlya on the other hand also got a quake in 2004 three days before the horrifying 9.3 in Sumatra. These two together is a major alarm bell as well.
The Africa quakes (lately 5.9 in Tanganyika) indicate the danger for Western USA 6.5+ as mentioned before. Particularly Southern California. These are in addition to the major planetary alignment danger. Washington quakes have been on the uptick as predicted with some of the largest in years. They should get one somewhere near 6.
I'm sure I forgot something but these are the latest for pattern research. IF they succeed remains to be seen.
