MEXICO – Incredible footage has emerged showing a 26ft (8m) deep crack in the in the farmland of northwest Mexico, which stretches for over a kilometer. The crevice which appeared last week, has disconnected Highway 26 between Hermosillo and the coast, Sky News reported. Drivers, including farm workers, have been forced to navigate around the colossal trench. The video showcasing the crack that in some parts is 16ft (5m) wide, was shot using a camera attached to a drone device. It shows vehicles stopped beside the crack, while a green tractor drives away from the scene. People below the drone appear to be discussing the situation. Geological investigators are now assessing what caused the crack, The civil protection unit believes the fissure may have been caused by an earthquake which hit last Sunday.

Solar Update / Coronal HoleGood evening. Coronal Hole #63 continues to turn away from Earth and the solar wind stream flowing from this zone is expected to gradually diminish over the next 12-24 hours. Only a short period of minor storming was observed on February 24th as a result from this stream. Another coronal hole (66) will move into a geoeffective position by March 1st and could lead to another geomagnetic enhancement at higher latitudes. More updates in the days ahead. The Department of Water Resources said it will start gradually reducing outflows from the Northern California dam beginning Monday morning and completely halt them by the afternoon. The outflow from behind the 770-foot-tall dam will be stopped for several days to allow workers to clear concrete, silt and other debris from a pool at the bottom of the spillway. Removing the debris will protect a shuttered underground hydroelectric plant and allow it to eventually resume operations, the agency said. [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
