Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
This last week has been quite challenging.
My 95 year old dad had a massive shiver episode(the only way that I can describe it) last Wednesday that lasted for 40 minutes. He was freezing cold and wrapped up in an electric blanket to get warm.
Then on Thursday he had another one. So we went to urgent care and they said that he looked ok and that since his heart rate had been high that it was probably anxiety.
Well on Friday he had another one late in the that evening. I live 40 miles away so I had him call an ambulance and they transported him to the hospital. I drove down to the hospital to see him. In the ER they found that he had a UTI infection.
They started antibiotics and it did not improve so they put him in the ICU in the ER. This was late Saturday. He did not look very well. A few hours later he started to improve so
the hospital moved him to the ICU floor. He was there until late Sunday.
He was improving very quickly all of this time. Monday he was moved to a heart monitored floor and continued to improve very quickly.
Monday morning they took a swab of his nose and said that they found MERSA. Now they will put salve in his nose for 5 days to kill the MERSA.
So to visit him you have to put on a disposable gown, gloves and a face mask. He is doing great and wants to leave the hospital.
Now today Thursday they did a swab of his at his catheter and found e-coli. SO they have changed the antibiotics for that. He is just fine in sprites and is ready to go home where he should be. It has been a long week needless to say.
It is to hard to post with a cell phone.

Top of the morin to yas!!

Happy St Patty's Day
We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced. In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be:
The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence.
Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty.
The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires
We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE
