What’s Lurking Beneath The Surface Of The Sun?

NASA

Like a balloon bobbing along in the air while tied to a child’s hand, a tracer has been found in the sun’s atmosphere to help track the flow of material coursing underneath the sun’s surface.

New research that uses data from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, or SDO, to track bright points in the solar atmosphere and magnetic signatures on the sun’s surface offers a way to probe the star’s depths faster than ever before. The technique opens the door for near real-time mapping of the sun’s roiling interior – movement that affects a wide range of events on the sun from its 22-year sunspot cycle to its frequent bursts of X-ray light called solar flares.

My eye swelled up like the other one did a month ago a whole bunch of weird stuff happened to me now i have to see an internist and ophthalmologist long story-short i'm sick :(

saw this
A landscaper is in the hospital after bees attacked him while he cut a tree Monday morning. It happened at about 7:30 a.m., while the man was working in the area of Seventh Avenue and Loop 101. Aerial video from the Fort McDowell Casino News Chopper showed emergency workers pulling the man out of a pickup truck and putting him on a gurney. Paramedics took that man to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately available, but according to the Phoenix Fire Department, he suffered a severe allergic reaction to the stings. According to a fire department spokesman, work crews have had trouble with bees in this area. The men reportedly checked for bees before starting work, but they did not see any obvious activity. Bees swarmed the victim as soon as he started cutting one of the trees, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. It's not clear how many stung him. Firefighters said the victim initially was not responsive, but started to improve while en route to the hospital. Allergic reactions to bee stings can range from relatively mild to life-threatening.

The Oregon Department of Agriculture is trying to figure out what killed thousands of honeybees in Sherwood last weekend. A mass of the dead bees were found scattered along on Highway 99 at Sunset Boulevard on Sunday. "We did receive some calls of concern and so we're in investigation mode right now," said Oregon Department of Agriculture Insect Pest Prevention and Management specialist Pat Mitchell. Sherwood resident Danya Anderson was driving on Highway 99 when she spotted the bees. "There were a bunch on the ground and a bunch swarming,” she said. "Some were crawling and some were dead already." There are agricultural fields nearby and even a beekeepers colony less than a mile away. Mitchell said there are many theories as to what happened, but the state won't know for sure until samples can be completely tested. Last year, tens of thousands of bumblebees were found dead in a Wilsonville shopping center. Anderson said she remembered that die-off, which is partly what prompted her to alert authorities about what she saw in Sherwood. "I know that something similar happened in Wilsonville, so I just want to make sure that the bees around here are OK,” Anderson said. "I know that they're important to us." In the Wilsonville case, two companies were eventually fined for spraying pesticide and killing the bees.
