Ya know that song goes well with your avatar. We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced. In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be: The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence. Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty. The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE |

The giger counter that I have has been running for these years with out any problems. Monday I put a new battery in the detector and it seems to work just fine so I put it back on line. The "normal" cpm count has been about 15 to 20 cpm (clicks per minute) AS a side note though yesterday I had a stress test with "nuclear medicine" from my heart doctor. When they do the stress test they inject you with a "nuclear medicine" and test you first before any activity and measure you in the Siemens machine. Then they make you walk on a treadmill and increase your heart rate and just before that is finished they inject you with some more "nuclear medicine" and then take another measurement in the Siemens machine. Well just for fun after I put the new battery in the detector today I decided to put it up to my chest and moved it around to different areas and at my heart area I got the highest reading of about 200 cpm just now today at 7:15pm California time. The test was done yesterday Tuesday starting at 10:30 am. The spike that was just on my graph was from the detector calming down and going back to the normal readings on the radiation network. This was quite a surprise because I thought that the "nuclear material" had a half life of about 8 hours. Well I am still hot! Paul Allen's intriguing launch company, Vulcan Aerospace, has gone relatively quiet in recent years, and questions about the venture's viability have been increasing. But on Wednesday, the cofounder of Microsoft shared a new photo of the company's Stratolaunch airplane—the largest in the world—and it seems the company is moving forward. The new plane is, in a word, bigly. The aircraft has 385-foot wingspan and, powered by six Pratt & Whitney engines used on Boeing 747 aircraft, has a maximum takeoff weight of 1.3 million pounds. The Stratolaunch's wingspan is the largest in history, blowing away the previous record-holder (Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose) by 65 feet. Vulcan Aerospace says its Stratolaunch airplane will have an operational range of 2,000 nautical miles. Serving as a reusable first stage for rocket launches, the Stratolaunch system will be capable of delivering payloads to multiple orbits and inclinations in a single mission.
