However, I'd like to rant for just a moment...and it has nothing to do with your "humor". A few minutes ago, I found out a family member of mine was taken to the hospital late last night. They were apparently taking 3 breaths per minute and also have severe bleeding on their brain. All of this because of fucking alcohol. Sadly, this bullshit runs in my family. There are just a handful of people who have managed to stay away from it. I'm 28 and have tried quitting for years. I was finally able to do so about 4 months ago. This is the longest I've went without touching a drink since 2010. Only the few closest people to me know just how bad my drinking was. I was back home last week...and I could've seen this person. But they were obviously in the middle of a binge...and I didn't want to see them like that. Wish I would've now. Anyway, sorry for the rant...it just helped to type this all out. You're all pretty cool. Enjoy your Friday night. And always remember to be happy and thankful for what you have. Quoting: InfiniteDream What a feat you have accomplished! I hope you are proud of yourself for these past 4 months. Very difficult to do! I feel sad for your family member who wasn't able to do the same. I have seen the damage alcohol can do to a person, including death. I understand your regret not seeing him/her, but perhaps your instincts were protecting you from something that would've been too difficult, and perhaps triggering. I'm sure that person knows you love them, and of course, there is still time to assure them of that. Hugs to you, my friend. P.S., I thought of you Wednesday night when I was at Iron Maiden :) Quoting: KickinIt Wonderful words Kickin. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Omg, was ripping my hair out earlier literally on the verge of tears. I'm much better now. All over stupid tech stuff. Cable guy came to connect new router this afternoon. Left, except then nothing worked, cell, computer, IPad, Roku!!!!!! Took me til now to figure out how to reset them all to new wifi router, still can't get desk top to load pages.
Now I just blew a fuse, the sump pump is burning out, water is gushing into basement. An inch deep in parts. The neighbor last Saturday as he was moving out mentioned he found a hole under his deck that he ran his new sump into instead of running it all the way out to ravine in the back of our yards. Guess where all his basement water now is, in my basement.
Effing unbelievable. This frigging proton storm is like a big jinx.
Quoting: Isis One Awe damn my friend. That's a shitty day. I'm sorry. :\ ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
