Good morning KickinIt!!! hi

How was everything yesterday?
 Quoting: CuriousSeeker

It was fun, thanks. Almost like a high school reunion. I miss my friend, wish he lived here.

Just went outside and discovered the storms that went through last night blew my basil plant off my patio table and it was laying on the ground, pot shattered. Somehow, the plant was still fine except for one stalk that broke off. So I stuck it back in another pot and hope it will be ok. I was pissed though, because a week ago I went out there to find my gorgeous hanging plant had been brutally attacked by squirrels. There was no reason for them to get in that plant, other than to be destructive. Bastards! And there was no saving it. So when I saw my basil this morning I was pissed. I tend to have bad luck with plants.

Yeah. Life can get isolating sometimes if you don't pay much attention to social relationships.

Well that's not a good thing about the plant! Let's hope no more destructive events!!

I am 61 now, and I just had a lot of things done. My cholesterol was 165, my A1C for diabetes was 5.8, and I have taken zero diabetes medicine for 4 years! Everything else was normal or good, except, believe it or not, my Vitamin D level. I live outside, so this surprised me, so I urge all of you to take a D3 supplement! Not having enough D is a major cause of illness!
 Quoting: bigD111

Just read that the official temp here yesterday was 108!

A storm came through last night while I was at my friend's house. Felt like a damn steam bath out there after that. You could see the moisture in the air. It was nasty.

I thought that was highly strange myself. It seems like people are constantly being diagnosed with low Vit.D for a while now. Which I thought was strange, but ultimately figured it's because people are staying out of the sun more nowadays. But to hear it applied to someone who is outdoors constantly makes me wonder what the hell is up. Are our bodies no longer absorbing Vit. D as well? What could be causing this rampant Vit. D problem?
