Oh lord. That gave me goosebumps. I'm assuming this came out of nowhere and she wasn't ill or anything? Not that it matters, it's tragic all the same. But it sounds like she was young if she has 2 young girls, and I know something sudden is so much more difficult to comprehend. OMG, her poor husband and children! It's terribly sad. I feel teary myself. Hang in there - you need to do your best to take care of yourself right now. Glad you have Nef and Mini surrounding you. And I am with you in spirit, my friend.

She was only 47. It sounds like it was a heart attack in her sleep so yes, it was completely unexpected. She's had a lot on her plate for some time now and I know the stress was weighing on her. Our last little hang out night we did a lot of talking and she broke into tears.

She truly was a shining spirit. EVERYONE loved her and she loved everyone. Brightest smile, always kind and offering a hand to anyone who needed it. She always told me that she felt closer to me than even her lifelong best friend. That she just felt comfortable talking to me about anything and knowing I would never judge, and I never did. I truly loved this woman. I'm gonna miss her so so much.

And yes, it was kind of a wake up call too.

A little bit of a light in the story...as I was standing out front of their house with another neighbor, a BEAUTIFUL bright colored butterfly fluttered right past us. I can't even remember the last time I saw a butterfly. The other neighbor saw it the same way that I saw it. Symbolism. Like it was her. <3

I didn't meant to imply this should be some sort of wake up call. Just wanted to be sure you make a point to try and take care of yourself during a rough time. I know it's hard to eat, sleep, etc. when something traumatic and upsetting happens, but with the recent concerns with your own health, I wanted to nudge you to make a point to tend to yourself as best you can :)

I agree the butterfly is a sign! A guy I know had a strange experience on eclipse day - was outside viewing the eclipse and suddenly had a group of 3-4 butterflies fluttering around his head - then they flew off. Found out the next day his aunt died that afternoon. I absolutely believe in signs like that.

47 is ENTIRELY too young! I am thankful she went peacefully in her sleep though. Makes you wonder how much the stress played a role. I had a very close friend pass from a heart attack at 41. I'm still traumatized by it, and still miss him terribly. I feel for you Simple, but I hope you find peace and strength knowing how important you were in her life. That's really wonderful she left that gift with you.

My heart is so broken. : (

My neighbor who I've mentioned in the past that I would go out back with and have drinks and act like teenagers laughing our asses off, and at times crying on each others' shoulder passed away in her sleep last night.

I can't even think straight right now. Her husband is a complete mess and they have 2 young daughters.

Her body was just removed from the house. I am so sad.

Today, at my mothers place, I picked about 35 pounds of plums! I forgot to mention them last night. These things are small, about the size of a large grape, although some are larger. Don't know what we will do with them yet, lol.

I know you didn't. hugs But for some reason, that's how I felt after seeing and hearing everything that I did this morning. Like I need to stop pissing and moaning about having to see doctors again. I made the mistake of putting that stuff on the back burner for a year and look where it landed me. Luckily I still have a chance here, another day at least. My friend didn't get another day. That's kinda what I meant by saying it was a bit of a wake up call for me. : )

And just wow about the butterflies on eclipse day and then finding out about his aunt. My cousin lost her boyfriend unexpectedly a couple of years ago. He was my age. It was awful. The night they all found out, they were standing outside of his apartment, my cousin and his mom and a few close friends. A butterfly came and flew in between them all.

I totally believe in these things.

I'm pretty sure plums freeze well. I would just de-pit them and ideally take the peel off, although that's not absolutely necessary. Being so small, it will be a bit of a pain in the arse.

Just checked - there's only been 2 EQs in the Haiti region all year. This one, and a 4.7 on 6/20.

In 2016 there were five EQs total - 3 in the mid-4 range and 2 in the mid-2 range.

so, perhaps this is nothing, maybe just due for an "adjustment"

E.T. Calling? Astronomers Pick Up Radio Signals From Space

A series of unexplained radio signals has been discovered coming from a source in a galaxy three billion light years away.

Scientists with the Breakthrough Listen initiative say they detected 15 repeating, fast radio bursts (FRBs) coming from the same mysterious source they recorded an FRB from in 2012. In 2015, the same source became the first object to ever recorded repeating a radio burst.
