I don't view death of the body as an ending but as a release of the essence of G-d Himself. It is freed from its' mortal coil of seclusion to rejoin the endless and eternal realm of One. That light then transcends time as well as space, where it is able to nourish the lives of so many more who have yet to be reborn. Man chooses to weep for what the heaven rejoice....their sister has come home. Quoting: ~Jazzy~ So sorry for your loss Simple. I'm sure your heart is aching but she is home and her light is as bright as any star in the heavens. |

I forgot to mention them last night. These things are small, about the size of a large grape, although some are larger. Don't know what we will do with them yet, lol.
Quoting: bigD111 Jam? Pie? Clean and freeze 'em for later? Just throwing out ideas :) Quoting: KickinIt Never messed with them before, a friend of mine picked a few and made a cobbler. He said it was real good! I don't even know if you can freeze them! Next season I plan on fertilizer spikes and more water. Quoting: bigD111 Wine. Plum wine is delicious. I had it homemade while in Italy. They also use plum wine over desserts and over their version of ice cream. Its wonderful. |

They can be frozen whole, pitted or pureed and will keep for up to a year. Or just make a cobbler and freeze it. To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.

Denver skies are hazy and smell of camp fires. Can't go outside much because of the horrible air quality yet few are even talking about it. Air quality has been rated unhealthy across the region because of blazes that show no signs of abating. Officials said Friday that one of the worst U.S. wildfire seasons in terms of land burned is likely to keep scorching Western states and blanketing them with smoke until later this fall. Even though it does not seem like it now to all that loved her, her daughters, husband, you, everyone close, all will find comfort in the beautiful memories of how she was and how she touched all of you. In that she will always live on. When the time is right, all will realise that and live on in that thought. And you, be careful, get healthy and stay safe. Not by sitting still, waiting and be scared of what might be or what might come, but by being you, living in the now, breathing life and attacking what hurts you, with strenght and belief in the best outcome and by realizing that you are far from done here. You are precious sweetheart. You will be alright. A poem I wrote many years ago. For you, for your neighbors and for who ever else might find a bit of comfort in it. Light across the SeaSometimes your life just crashes And the walls come tumbling down Everything lost once so precious Makes laughter lose it's crown
Don't waste your time just grieving Over times that could have been Don't blame yourself for ignoring The things you should have seen
Life is just to precious Please don't let it fall apart And you'll see, in those ashes Are moments that touched your heart
Maybe we are all just fishes Swimming in this big wide sea Rushing off into the darkness On the run and never free
But somewhere in the darkness There's a light across the sea All you need to do is reach out And find that light in me |

I will say, in the last hour I came to realize that my brother lives just a hair outside of the current warning area for the L.A./La Tuna fires (not evacuation area, but warning area, which is a large radius). I'm a bit freaked out. They use hwy. 210 to get to their home, which is currently closed. I'm not sure where it is closed, but it should be north of them based on where the fire is, so they would still have access to their home. They are out of town at a wedding right now so I don't want to bother them. I had planned to touch base tomorrow or Monday anyway, so I guess I will get an update then. Scary! |
