This has continued to bother me since the last incident in Brazil/Chile/Uruguay. My friend in Uruguay said that, despite the oddness of it, there wasn't a lot of talk about it on mainstream news, etc. It was mentioned, but not emphasized and it was blamed on off-coast winds, as we read about here.

I never bought that explanation, and now here we are again and I still don't buy it.

I'm not buying the coastal winds theory either. It sounds less like a scientific explanation and more like something that's being said just to keep people calm.

I don't know a lot about the science behind it, but wouldn't coastal winds or sea breezes typically be blowing toward a land mass and be responsible for something more like a thunderstorm than the disappearance of the ocean? And how does the coastal winds idea explain the massive waves happening in Chile while the ocean disappears on the opposite side of the continent?

Based on my limited understanding, I'd say this phenomenon has something more to do with plate tectonics, specifically the movements of the South American and Nazca Plates and possibly the Cocos and Caribbean Plates. Again, I'm not entirely sure what I'm talking about, so please be kind if I'm totally off base here hf
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75332187

I tend to lean towards your theory as well. I definitely don't buy coastal winds, though. It would have to be something more complex than that. And one thing I find curious is the location. It keeps happening in S. America.

Well, when it happened the first time(s) off the coasts of Chile, Uruguay and Brazil, the water came back within 24 hours I believe. So I don't know if this theory works, although otherwise I like it.

I don't know that there was violent weather. There was rain and possibly storms around then. Much of S. America has had a very rainy winter.

I was considering why these beaches / shorelines disappeared so far out. One thing I thought that it might be, as it is unrelated apparently to wind / hurricanes / earthquakes...
is perhaps the beginning of a geological pole shift, a small wobble that resulted in certain areas having their water recede out that far,,,then slowly coming back in as the wobble regained position.
.......right all we need on top of everything else right now,,,hurricanes / fire / earthquakes etc...
would be earth wobbles / pole shift???

^^^Another thing I've considered.

The wind just isn't working for me as an excuse. We'd be seeing this happen every year in multiple locations if it was due to wind.

listen everyone

i have tried to tell you all, but i am getting more and more convinced about this

the EQs OP has diligently been recording, and the evidence i have been gathering too, point to one thing. a MASSIVE natural disaster is IMMINENT

whether it is a pole shift, or yellowstone, or both, or something else, i dont know, but it is right around the corner, and they KNOW it is (personally i strongly believe it is yellowstone)

THIS is why the north korea thing is coming to the boil. they are gonna euthanise 75-90% of us in a nuke war BEFORE this natural disaster occurs

it is ALL to do with how much emergency food there is in reserve

if there is no nuke war, far too many may make it through, jeopardising the elite. watch how geopolitical events match up with geological events, how everything seems to be escalating at the same pace

the natural event will happen soon after the nuke war

they are choosing their moment carefully too. this is why the fat boy keeps saying what he says, just to keep it at the forefront of everyone's minds, so we don't forget it, so we don't go blaming our leaders in the aftermath...

'yeah, it was kim, and putin, who started it, we acted in self defence'

'they deserved it'

Good grief.

Undercover cop, Air Force officer, med student among those police swept up Sunday night

One was an Air Force lieutenant who came out of his downtown apartment to witness the commotion in his neighborhood.

Another was a Chicago-based photojournalist for Getty Images assigned to cover the latest bout of unrest in St. Louis.

And still another was a St. Louis police officer working undercover at the protest.

[link to www.stltoday.com]

To add to this, there were some arrests at a protest today and there was a lot of force used. From the video clips I've seen, at times the amount of force used seemed excessive to me, but granted, I don't have the full context so it's hard to say.

All I know is, the feedback in the above article from regular joes who got caught up as innocent bystanders, along with some of the videos out there today, are only going to create more of an uproar.
