I'm checking in too quickly.
Life is busy, daily.
Had a major technical work-related issue this week that falls under the category of my problem to fix unfortunately. Took me two days to resolve it. Good times, ugh! But all is fixed and I've learned a whole lot more about our system.
Got some Christmas present wrapping done tonight. Made me realize that I need to get more gifts. A lot more. Just sigh. Never enough time. Never enough money.
Best news of my day, my week, my year....
My uncle is breathing on his own now!! I need more to this update, but that alone is just freakin' awesome!!! : )
My mini has been suffering from severe headaches the past couple of weeks. Need to get her to the doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. She wore glasses when she was younger, so I'm wondering if the headaches might have something to do with her eyesight. I'm on it, and will schedule her an appointment.
I'm tired. Very tired. Most of the time.
I'm busy, overworked, etc.
But I am grateful. I am grateful to even be able to complain about my petty problems. I'm grateful for every single thing that I take for granted when I am not reflecting on what I'm grateful for.
I am soooooo grateful (thank You GOD) that my uncle is able to breathe, without mechanical help, tonight.
Needed to get that all out. : )
Quoting: Simple27 Just read this. Such hopeful news about your uncle. Got to hold on to that you know.
As for you. We've talked often about this before. You know, you can't always run faster than Usain Bolt in his best days, 36/7 Sim. You have achieved so much in the past years.
Combined with your workload and all the medical trouble and the emotions that go with your full busy life, you have been through, being a single mom, you raised a beautiful daughter and kept your head above water in the process. That counts for something. So after you pick up the gold medal for being Baastun's fastest Moon Girl, take a moment of silence, reflect, count all the things you did more than right in the past decade or so.
Forget the
"Yeah but I wished that" stuff, but live the
"Oh wow! I did that, didn't I?" moments, of which there were plenty and tap yourself on the shoulder for them. Be proud, because you have every reason to be proud of you.
People so often get lost in the madness of every day life, rushing, running past themselves and forget to praise themselves, because they believe it is normal that they should always do their best, so nothing to brag about. Well, bullshit, at times you need to praise yourself for all the progress you made in life. That has nothing to do with being arrogant or stuck up, it is all about confidence and stimulating yourself in positive thinking, being proud of yourself and convincing yourself that today will be even better. It gives energy that you never thought you had in you.
That is why I say to you and who ever else wants to read it, count your achievements, not your failures or your might have beens. I know, life is not always a walk in the park, not by far, but it is perfectly okay to yell
"Fuck Yeah!" every now and then for all those positive moments. (if needed add a fist pump.)
You are a beautiful woman Sim. In many aspects you are an example to others, for all those things above. I for one love and respect you for it and am blessed to call you one of my dearest friends. I said it many times before and I'll say it again..
And I do hope Mini will be okay too. She will. Like you said, might be her eyesight. Don't worry to much and go see a doctor.
Oops! I apologize for spamming the thread with this long ass message. The curse of writing, lol.
Enjoy your timezones everyone..
