Since 1990, there has been only two longer lulls than what's going on now (no 6+). So it's really rare.
If one were to 'reverse GLP effect' the outcome, one could say the following:
"There is absolutely not going to be any 6+ today, also there is not going to be any massive earthquakes occurring near the supermoon".
The earth is doing what it wants, it seems. Damn you.

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72425578 I wonder, though, what this means as we go forward? The longer we go without any 6+ the greater the build up. I know it's not quite that simplistic, but you get my drift. Happy new year Finland! Quoting: KickinIt Happy new year Kickin and everyone! Indeed, normally 6+ happen roughly every 2-3 days. Also these longer lulls seem to gather around summer months, late May to early July. So in many ways what we have now is unexpected. North Pacific Ocean quake was weird and earlier the polar ones as well. Have to keep watching I guess. -Finland |

I don't think that has happened since global earthquake coverage was implemented.
You said it right Kickin, basically it has to release the pent energy, it can't be dodged. I would not want to be within 1000miles of the epicenter of what comes.

MoN was right, trying to figure out the quake posting today was a clusterfuck! Despite your hangover MoN, you did a fine job figuring it all out! And Joinca, I was looking back to see if any were missed or popped up from last night, and I cracked up because in all the chaos last night, you were the one who would randomly post a few EQs here and there to get us up to date. Thank you for being the responsible one! Also Jo, I'm gonna PM you here in a minute with that recipe for the white castle sliders! Quoting: KickinIt No, post it for all of us to see!!!!!! I also put some american cheese and a dill pickle slice on each one. People go nuts for these things. Used to make them for tailgates regularly. |
