Well, I did it lol. I'm such a sap.
We're gonna love her back to health and give her a real family. : )
Be prepared for future bitching posts.

There's a lot of work involved. She isn't exactly healthy nor is she from a loving home.
Challenge accepted.
Due to her health condition, the shelter technically still owns her and we are her temp care. This makes it so the shelter is responsible for her medical care treatment until it's finished (medical costs) and we are responsible for administering any home meds, getting her to her vet appointments, following her strict minimal exercise routine, etc.
She's sweet and very timid. I haven't heard her bark once, and that includes the 3 days in a row I visited her at the shelter.
It appears she was used as a baby maker. She's only a year old and the shelter believes she has had 3 litters of pups. : (
She came from a 'kill' shelter in Georgia to a local 'no-kill' shelter here. It's very obvious that she just had a litter of pups recently.
The above pics were taken today at her vet. We brought her there to get her meds before bringing her home.
She's very quiet and calm. Likes to be by the back door which is in the kitchen. Hopefully she will transition to the living room, but we aren't forcing anything on her. She needs to get comfortable here and if that's her current happy place, well she can hang out there.
She has a long road before she can be brought on long walks or brought outside to play. Hopefully by May/June she will be in better shape. So far she is responding well to her treatment and everything in general.
I hope we can help her and make her feel loved. <3
