The #Kodiak earthquake was a strike-slip fault type event and is unlikely to produce a significant #Tsunami
They often don't produce any tsunamis, sometimes local tsunamis may occur due to landslides triggered by the quake.

I have a dreaded feeling in the back of my mind that tells me: I don't think that this is over. All these tsunami warnings and watches aren't triggered for normal events. We have had quakes this large before in similar areas without much issue, and without any warnings following them. This event is not normal. |

10 meters is 32 ft that cant be right for a 8.0
