And thanks for the behind the scenes pics! Looked like it was gonna be a great time!

It's always a good time but the floats were not nearly as good this year, and it felt like the crowds were way down. Could've been the weather. It's colder this year than the last few, and they've been calling for icy weather. The early stuff ended up not hitting the metro area, but right now there's freezing drizzle and it's due to get worse as the night goes on. Glad I'm home!

I know you're right, but watermelon sounds so soothing on my sore throat right now, lol.

I'm home now. And I wasn't in New Orleans if that's what you're thinking. We have a big Mardi Gras thing here. It's been going on for weeks, but today was the grand parade.

Thanks BigD. I'm definitely better than I was the past few days. Still not 100%. Hoping it wasn't a stupid decision to go out today. I feel bad your wife is feeling sick while she's away visiting your daughter and the grandkids! It stinks to be sick while away from home.

It does sound soothing. I have some vanilla ice cream in the freezer so I may have to dig into that a bit later. I also have an assortment of medicinal teas that are helpful.

Thread: Baby goat and best friend horse.

Awww, this is cute. Gorgeous horse!

EDIT TO ADD: speaking of horses, the Budweiser Clydesdales were NOT at Mardi Gras today. They are normally there every single year. I was not happy.

I had what seemed like a 3 hour stomach bug this morning lol. Pissed me off because I couldn't sleep through it, it hurt too much. Really messed with my sleep, but when it finally passed I got a solid 3 hours. And my belly has been fine since (knocks on wood!).

LMAO!!!! No, no, no...I had already gotten about 6 hours before the tummy issues, then I got 45 minutes between the tummy issues followed by the solid 3 hours.

Still not quite enough (lol) but that solid 3 at the end was very helpful. : )
