Looks like it was an error? It says that USGS is the source for both of the earthquakes showing on that map, but if you go to the USGS map there's only 1 earthquake.

EMSC also shows only 1. I've seen similar errors on the global incident map many times.

So today at my son's high school, a student drove his car into the side of the bldg.

Yes, that gulp of air is the same response I had when he text me.

It wasn't intentional, lost control of the car only and was slightly injured and taken to the hospital.

Scared the crap out of all of us.

Just to add: since my son is special needs and a bit slow, we didn't know what had happened. He said there was a loud explosion. Since he was in the library next to the wall that was hit by the car, yet, I bet it scared the crap out of all the kids in there, especially with what happened yesterday.
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

I can imagine that was scary until all of you knew what had really happened. Glad it was just an accident!

Did you feel it? Earthquake shakes Seacoast

small earthquake centered in East Kingston was felt Thursday morning across the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed that the 2.7-magnitude quake struck at 9:28 a.m.

Exeter residents described the earthquake as more of a boom than a rumbling. Some witnesses said they thought there might have been an explosion nearby.

Hundreds report feeling 2.7-magnitude quake near N.H.-Mass. border

By noon, the USGS had received over 1,200 reports from people who said they felt it. East Kingston is near Exeter, N.H., and across the border from Amesbury, Mass.

Amesbury police Sergeant David Noyes said the department received many calls reporting booming sounds and shaking due to the quake.

ETA: I can't believe you worked 36 hours straight! I'd be delirious. Have you ever seen the documentary "Hands on a Hard Body"? No, it's not porn. It's about an annual contest where people in a small town have the chance to win a new pickup truck by being the person to keep at least one hand on the "hard body" (truck) the longest. But it ends up being a good display of how fucked up people get when they are kept awake for too many hours straight.

Lowellville, Liberty report hearing boom and feeling ground shake

LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WYTV) – Did you hear a loud boom or feel a small tremor on Tuesday?

Several WYTV viewers said they heard a loud noise, followed by shaking. The Youngstown area has had earthquakes in the past, but what happened on Tuesday could have been something completely different.

Lowellville residents experienced it around 3 p.m., but there were reports of the same thing in Liberty five hours earlier. Two separate locations, both felt the ground shake.
