Just got back in town and thankfully this storm was already over minus some rain/slushy snow flurries. Roads are just wet and most of it on the grassy areas has melted. However, the last hour+ of my drive was a bit harrowing. Moderate slushy snowfall plus lots of semi trucks plus worn out wipers makes for bad vision. Roads were just wet, but the temps in ILL were hovering just above freezing and I came across 2 cars that had just gone into a ditch on the side of the highway, as well as a double-semi blocking the right lane that had just jackknifed. Freaked me out a bit. I was white-knuckling it. Glad to be home. On my way into town they were saying on the radio that the snowflakes were the size of cotton balls at one point earlier today! Quoting: KickinIt Happy you made it home safely my friend!! Missed you. And have been sending prayers and love for your uncle. <3 Quoting: Simple27 Thank you! It's nice to know I'm missed. It was a rough weekend, and I'm exhausted. Was nice to see everyone - including other out of town relatives who came in. But it was really hard to say goodbye to my uncle today. I bawled. |

Quoting: Arnie haha, that's nice of you. Just got back into town and catching up a bit while I try to build up an appetite for dinner. Also waiting on the O.J. special at 7 on Fox! I'm all over that. What a jackass. That guy is so full of himself he can't NOT admit he did it. I said when he was released from prison he'd be back there within 2 years. I stand by that, based on his behavior since he's been out. Hope you had a nice weekend Arnie. I've also been thinking about your friend. Quoting: KickinIt Ahhh, thanks for the reminder!
