Oh granny, I am so sorry to hear about your nephew. His story sounds almost exactly like my cousin who OD'd. My cousin had some clean time put together and had his little girl and little boy back in his life, seeing them regularly. He was even going to try to get full custody of them, and then he made that same terrible decision to do the drugs 'one more time'. One more time is all it took and now we no longer have such a wonderful man with us. I still believe he got a batch with fentanyl in it. That shit was killing everyone around here at the time. Seriously. I lost my cousin and 10+ childhood friends that year. These drugs, and those who sell them, are EVIL.

Prayers for your family granny. This is going to be VERY hard on your grandson. After he's told of the tragic news, please keep a closer-than-normal eye on him. For a few months, at least.

Nowdays... anything that is a pill or a powder bought off the streets and ALL heroin is cut with fentanyl...all of it.

I'm hesitant to even type it because I'm afraid I will somehow curse and reverse it lol, but I'm starting to feel better finally! There's still some spot pain here and there at times, but it's no longer radiating throughout my entire body 24/7. Thank GOD!

Energy and strength are slowing creeping back in. : )

This has been so very scary for me. The sudden onset of constant moderate-severe pain all over my body that lasted WEEKS scared the shit out of me. When it took my ability to walk that Wednesday night weeks ago, it freaked me out so badly that my anxiety/stress has been through the roof. Granted I was only immobilized fully for 20-30 minutes, but I was immobilized FULLY. Scariest thing. Crazy pain.

And I don't know that I'm going to be able to go back to work for that man. He is true poison for my soul. And in all reality, any attorney would be like a kid in a candy shop if I filed a harassment/discrimination lawsuit against him. It would be a slam dunk, guaranteed huge win. He is such a terrible person. Nef got laid off. Shocking eh? Timing is just a coincidence I'm sure. Pffftttt. The retaliations have already begun due to my leave of absence. My "medically necessary leave of absence" mind you. That is 100% illegal in the good ol' United States. He's crossed the legality line multiple times already since I notified him of this leave.

Not that street drugs were ever 'safe', but today's street drugs are far more deadly than they were when I was a rebel.

Throwing this out there because I have no idea what it is. Last night (well, around 2am) Nef and I were still awake and in the living room. Mini was upstairs in bed and the house was silent. No tv, no noise. We were both reading. Out of nowhere we hear this BIG bang/boom. At first I thought mini might've fallen out of bed, but the sound changed to more of nearby explosion of some sort. Didn't last long, but longer than a thud would from someone falling out of bed. We both looked at each other like wtf was that and both jumped up to look out windows. He went outside to check out front and I went out back. It sounded relatively close. Within a couple of blocks.

We went to bed shortly after and didn't hear it again.

Well about 20 minutes ago it happened again. Louder this time. And now, about 2 minutes ago AGAIN! And WAY louder this time. WAY closer! Whoa, and now AGAIN!
