Went in a month ago or so for 2nd overnight for sleep apnea. They were able to control the apneas but I will still have to have oxygen as well at night. Saw the sleep doc Last Friday and they told me they would put in my order with the same company I get my oxygen from and it would likely take 2-4 weeks for insurance approval.

The company called me Wednesday and will be here to my house on Monday to set the CPAP up and make sure I know how to use it. Now that was fast.

I have a horrible time trying to sleep. I wake up. I toss and turn. I hurt and need to more move. I choke and snort which wakes me up. Daughter tells me she is surprised I get any real sleep at all.

Told this to the sleep doc, so she gave me a script for Ambien to help break the cycle and to also help be sleep while adjusting to the CPAP.

One more note on this, during the 2nd sleep study, they stated my sleep apnea was moderate to severe and my machine would be set for those with more severe apnea.

Have been under going a lot of heart testing now also, just to make sure my breathing problems aren't damaging my heart nor are being made worse by my heart. Waiting on some of those test results.

Thank you my sweet friend hugs
Spent yesterday learning everything I can about CPAP. Joined a CPAP forum and holy moly there is a lot to know. Sheesh - it is a bit overwhelming. They come out tomorrow to my house to bring the machine and all that goes with it plus education, so I want to be armed with good facts.

Here is the link in case others with OSA would like to learn:

I just pray it helps me!!!
