You know what pisses me off? Situation when old documents before WW2 are throwed away into trash.Meanwhile Funko Pop figures sell for hundreds of dollars on Ebay.People have no respect for history anymore. I'm glad I'm the one who respects history of my country and saved 5 kg of those documents  Good on you! It's important to save true history. It's also important to document and save the present, as it will be history in the future. And we know how history 'changes'. I want to make a time capsule and hide/bury it. There's been some very notable events in our lifetime that I'm guessing history books won't portray accurately. I so totally agree with you both, we need to preserve whatever history we can. I love finding old documents and old tools. I was just discussing with a friend recently that, soon there won't be paper maps because everything is being done by GPS these days.
