Anyone notice how quake and volcanic events often occur at the antipodes of each other?
I noticed this recently with the 6.x at Peurto Rico,at a similar time (inside same 24 hr period) there was a 6.x at its antipode in Indonesia
Looking at all the activity fault line near Bering Straight (the fault line the runs between Kamchatka Peninsula and Alaska), its antipode is in southern ocean, also hit by a 5.x today
Taal in Philipines has an antipode South America, relatively close to the cluster of 4.xs on what looks to be the Peru/Chile border area.
Also, Popocatépetl has an antipode in the Indian Ocean, where Mayotte just threw up an underwater volcanco, though its quite distant IMHO
Still, I find these "co-incidences" quite interesting.
