The lack of a requirement to evolve isn't equal to the theory of evolution being false.
This isn't the only species that hasn't evolved in nature. This lack of change over millions of years likely has to do with the fact there's no natural predators, and therefore no need to change.

I repeat. it won't be a fact because a bunch of atheists want it to be, so that God wouldn't exist.
