My entire family, including the dog, suffering from the worst allergy attack ever. Extremely red watery eyes, sneezing, cough, etc..etc..my dog is 10 years old and he cant even go outside without sneezing and his eyes turning near blood red. he is a lab. I've never seen him have any allergies until this past week. I took him to the vet and she said this past two weeks is the worst outbreak of allergies she's ever seen for pets. Im in north Alabama. Is anyone else having this situation?

I am in Utah and my whole family came down with some "virus" is what the doctor is calling it. We have a lot of the same symptoms you are describing.
Went to the doctor today and his office was flooded with people with the same thing. Doctor said that his office was flooded with people calling this morning with the same "virus". He said to just keep drinking plenty of clear liquids and we should be better by Thanksgiving. ? That really sucks as we are all miserable as hell. No Antibiotics, nothing.
Hope you get feeling better soon. And your doggy.

I had it a few weeks ago very heavy here in SE Pennsylvania. The symptoms were about the same, especially the eyes. I had not taken any allergy pills in years but I had to take a mild one just to prevent pneumonia like movement to my lungs. It kept moving from my head to the throat and back and kept trying to get into the lungs, but I outlasted it. However, there is still a bit of a thickening of the throat even now, many weeks later. It will take a frost to kill it. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids, hot liquids especially, because it is just likely to cause a flu.

Fall allergy from plants esp after wet weather.

By accident 5 years ago, I've discovered that taking 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 supplement greatly suppresses allergy attacks.

These are no seasonal allergies ... As animals are feeling it too & if they are, why are mammals developing them... Think about it ... & why in geographical areas? The pattern in the samplings are strange...

WOOHOO!! Sheriffs actually override Federal peeps and living in a small town in Texas, our guys don't take too kindly to spooks interfering. In the case it does happen, Ya'll might be seeing me on the news, if it's not covered up. Then again I would be portrayed as a Christian, Patriot radical terrorist. If that's not enough, here's a quote from one of my favorite movies, "I got better."

Maybe you have some more of this crap going on?

From your link:

When a strange blob showed up on weather radar over Huntsville, Alabama back in June, there were plenty of equally-strange ideas floating around about what caused it, but the mystery has now been solved, thanks to some persistent weather service scientists.

Meteorologists can see some strange things with the weather sometimes, but back on June 4th, forecasters in Huntsville had a real mystery on their hands. A large blob suddenly turned up on their weather radar, which they thought was a sudden 'pop-up' thunderstorm, but looking outside there wasn't a storm in sight. The sky was sunny with just a few clouds, and there wasn't any smoke visible either. The standard radar continued to show it, though, and even when they switched to dual-polarity — where the radar sends and receives in both the horizontal and the vertical — the blob persisted. In total, it was visible for over nine hours.

There was plenty of speculation about what caused it. Some went straight for conspiracy-theory territory, talking about secret military transmitters. Others went for the disaster angle, thinking it might be signals from a damaged utilities substation interfering with the radar. There was even talk about it being caused by 1,000 ladybugs that the local botanical gardens released that day. However, Matthew Havin, the data services manager for Baron Services, a weather technology company in Huntsville, told LiveScience: "It would take many millions of ladybugs to really show up on a weather radar, and it wouldn't look the same as what we were seeing."

It didn't take very long for the mystery to be solved, though. The severe weather group at the University of Alabama - Huntsville caught on to it first after finding clumps of hair-like strands of fibreglass on the ground. Two days after the 'incident', the US Army's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville put out a press release explaining that it was a test of military chaff — a defense system that interferes with radar-guided missiles, forcing them to miss their intended target.

Be careful if you have a cat or dog take them to the Vet our dog "Boxer" had to get meds for a sinus infection.

The weird part is we always had dogs 30 plus years and I have never heard of a dog having a sinus infection
 Quoting: YaRight

I never had a dog with sinus either. But she was sneezing almost non-stop until I put colloidal silver drops in her nostrils.
 Quoting: Theobromine

Just a suggestion, maybe a simpler weak clean salt solution in distilled water (sterile app each time) might be just as effective.
Possibly because the colloid is simply wet you saw improvement.
 Quoting: DawaSatso

Yes, of course that's possible.
I just felt better with that extra bit of anti-bacterial ingredient.
I always get rid of a scratchy throat by gargling with CS and it works almost every time - except 2 years ago when it was strep. I keep it around for that and have few colds.

I would have tried your suggestion if I didn't already have CS on hand with a convenient dropper.

Perhaps it's just the season? My sinuses always act up this time of the year.

I guess it also depends on where you're located to.

5 Stars and a karma pin for you OP. I have never had allergy problems in the fall and have lived here my whole life. This is not allergy season, we have gotten several frost and nothing is pollinating right now. I would really like to find an answer to this issue. Thanks for making a thread about this topic!

Our beagle has a major skin issue that has developed this summer. Our vet said most of the dogs in this area have it.

The entire back half of his belly area is red from his scratching, licking & biting himself almost constantly.
 Quoting: mopar28m

Same here in southwest Wisconsin. My dog and other people I know with dogs are experiencing the same thing. Vets say allergy and give an antibiotic shot.
The dog stops itching and biting for a few days and then the same
thing starts all over again.

Matthew 6:9-13
King James Version (KJV)

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

I agree, everyone I talk to thinks they have a cold considering after several heavy frosts, allergens from plants should have subsided, but instead have increased dramatically
