Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
Why are all of you looking for another man?
Jesus never said we are to look for any other man.
If you are looking for another man, you can only be deceived, especially if you think it is yourself.
Why do so many men's egos think they can use the things of God to magnify themselves?!
You are looking for another man, or you are looking to praise yourself, but in either of both cases, you are not looking to Jesus Christ.
It is all about Jesus Christ.

It's an eternal pattern. One crying from the wilderness and preparing the way for the prophet or the savior. Look in the bible and you will see that pattern emerge with each story of the prophets. Also think of when God introduces Jesus Christ in the new testament. There is always a messenger or herald.

Again, Elijah the Lord of hosts and Lord Jesus the great Anti-Christ is the two witnesses as mention far above.

Nothing more and nothing less.

A rod go through the root of my father Jesse and the flower will ascended from the buds of Aaron, the Spirit of the Lord rested upon me, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of consul and fortitude, the Spirit of knowledge and piety, and I will be filled with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, and I shall not judges the the unrighteousness with my eyes, and I shall not reprove with the hearing of my ears, instead I shall judges the unrighteous with justices, and I will reproved the just with fairness, and I will strikes the earth with the rod of the spirit of my lips, and I will slay the impious with the spirit of my lips.

And I typed this myself on a tiny smartphone, did you like it?.

David why do you do this

it’s a ugly never ending habit

You speak of belief in Christ as
being in Christ- you never express
your growth from belief to your life
of victory in Christ

this is my last attempt to understand
your never ending circles you bring to
souls such as me walking through these
last days - Jesus this Jesus you question
me as you stand in shallow water if I have belief.
One moves from belief to repentance to death to being
planted. To being water and feed to growth. To producing
good fruit. This good fruit is the proof of your faith. Not
your belief. Many have faith and belief but no righteous walk.
Jesus has taken my life and moving
me in each moment from this to that Kingdom. The
very Kingdom of God.

It is no longer I that live - this is not belief but a
new life in Christ.

My Lord spoke into me much talked about in this
thread last night. That is why you are reading my
post today.

At this moment your post are annoying like fly buzzy
around your head on a hot summer day. why do that?
 Quoting: Bayou Ice

All this to not answer?

I believe Christ.

You said Christ revealed things to you.

I want to know if this is true or not, if it can be reasonably determined.

Did Christ physically come to you? Did Christ appear to you in an unexplainable waking vision (whether in the body or out of the body you don know), or did you have dreams that Christ appeared to you in, or did you think it and conclude that it was Jesus speaking.

These are all very different possibilities.

Do you say I am not supposed to ask you how?

Do you say I am not supposed to test your spirit?

If Truth matters most to you, what possible objection could you have in sharing your magnificent experiences to a believer in Christ?

Look at your protest here and now again!

You act like I am being difficult and unreasonable here with you

simply because I did not say Oh Ice, that's so wonderful! You're so wonderful!

my Lord revealed much on 3 different visits

Please tell us how the Lord visited you on three different visits.

Does the Truth matter most to you?

Then just faithfully and joyfully tell the Truth.

Please.

Or point at me as if I am the bad guy.

You and will stand before Christ accountable for this very moment, Cliff.

Have I wronged you in any way?

The Two Witnesses are detailed in Scripture.

Why are we never told to look for them?

Do you say we are instructed to look for anyone else?

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1John 4:1

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,

which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a slave of Christ.

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
"And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.

And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner.

These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.

And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;

and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.

Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid.

But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid."

When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.

Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

"He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,

"saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.' "

And they remembered His words.

Luke 24:1-8

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"

And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey.

Re: Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.3 and the Branch
first fruits

James
James
Salutation
1:1 From James, a slave of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes dispersed abroad. Greetings!
Joy in Trials
1:2 My brothers and sisters, consider it nothing but joy when you fall into all sorts of trials, 1:3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 1:4 And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything. 1:5 But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him. 1:6 But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind. 1:7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, 1:8 since he is a double-minded individual, unstable in all his ways.

James 1:9 Now the believer of humble means should take pride in his high position. 1:10 But the rich person’s pride should be in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a wildflower in the meadow. 1:11 For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the meadow; the petal of the flower falls off and its beauty is lost forever. So also the rich person in the midst of his pursuits will wither away. 1:12 Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him. 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires. 1:15 Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death. 1:16 Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters. 1:17 All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.

James 1:18 By his sovereign plan he gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Much truth given for those with eyes to see

Blessings
 Quoting: Bayou Ice

The Scripture following James 1:18 is also very applicable for us all:

"Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry." (James 1:19)

Blessings to you,

Does the truth matter most to you,
or does something anything matter more?

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit
.

2Peter 1:16-21

holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
