One way yes. Have you ever heard of Don Rickles, probably one of the most admired/funniest comedians among his peers and with the public. Why b/c they were not so full of pride that they couldn't laugh at themselves. Find me someone who can't laugh at themselves when being playfully jeered/reviled/put down. And I will show you a man/woman full of pride and thinks far too highly of themselves.
