yes the sun is very busy

naw this CME came from around old sunspot 1875 that rotated over the sun's western limb this past week

this whole region has had a lot of CMEs over the last 4-5 days

you can tell its from the western backside of the sun because the CE is showing up on STEREO A, that is right now, in the far back right side of the sun (from earth view)

if it had come from 1890, it would show on STEREO B as a bright CME and barley show on STEREO A, if at all

I dunno Solarham says, "Solar activity increased to moderate levels on Tuesday morning with an impulsive M2.5 solar flare around sunspot 1890 at 08:18 UTC"

yes there was a impulsive M flare that came from sunspot 1890 a few hours ago

Any new flares? I'm trying to learn/figure out this sun doom but I'm a noob...

I'm not positive... But I believe it is in the direction of whatever people are seeing at sunset..... Near the galactic center..... That being said... I think this cme may have been triggered by Saturn ..

The source of the eruption is probably old sunspot AR1875, which unleashed an X-flare last week while it was still on the Earthside of the sun. If the region remains active for another 7 or 8 days, it will return to the Earthside for another round of geoeffective flares.

The one showing now will just glance of earth , but is small and wont have any bad effects.
