"War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses.

I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag.

I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

There isn't a trick in the racketeering bag that the military gang is blind to. It has its "finger men" to point out enemies, its "muscle men" to destroy enemies, its "brain men" to plan war preparations, and a "Big Boss" Super-Nationalistic-Capitalism.

It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service.

I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents. " USMC Major General Smedley Butler

Yes, take note that it was a USMC Devil Dog that blue the whistle on the Military Industrial Complex, long before Eisenhower.

Yet basically disowned himself being with the military from what he had conveyed as more obvious and evident in "Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service.",which is in no way praising or defending the USMC in anyway especially considering it's a part of that very military industrial complex and is the "muscle"(as Smedley himself has stated) for the current system and power structure, yet you erroneously are implying that somehow a branch of the military(and from there the government) is "fighting" against the current establishment when they directly serve and take orders from them (and the fundamental reason why they had signed up initially is for their views and perception being shaped by the propaganda put out by the very powers that you are implying they're antagonistic to) and the military itself is a part of the government.

No way, you are giving it your own spin, and obfuscation.

He said "WAR", not one defending the US Constitution, from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

You will see, USMC will come out on top and on the right side of history. When it comes time to arrest Obummer, and all the other scum-pukebuckets in DC as well, you and everyone else probably expect USMC to do the right thing. Who else but USMC does anyone expect to arrest these turdballs, especially Obummer, the commie?

In the meantime, I say we need a Military Tribunal to find all these DC FUCKS guilty of TREASON

That is not "my own spin" or "obfuscation" when it was clearly conveyed by Smedley himself. And again,Smedley had basically disowned himself by what he had conveyed especially with stating that members of the military are basically mindless fools that follow the orders of the "higher-ups" without little to no hesitation or questions and that such behavior is ubiquitous within the military.

"
You will see, USMC will come out on top and on the right side of history."

USMC,by it's very nature of being a branch of the military and being the dogs of the government and power structure, will always be at the bottom, but sure they can believe they are "at the top" considering those that join and are in the military in general hold the beliefs of the U.S.A being "the greatest",the government having their best intentions in mind, and that they isn't any hidden agendas. Merely a pipedream that they will "come out... on the right side of history". Just them being the direct servants and those that do the "dirty work" of the powers in place somehow is "fighting" against the very system that they are actively enforcing, protecting, and spreading.

"When it comes time to arrest Obummer, and all the other scum-pukebuckets in DC as well, you and everyone else probably expect USMC to do the right thing. "

When the very system that governs the U.S.A extends throughout the entire world and politicians are merely disposable puppets. Not to mention those that have the legal power of actual apprehensions in this system are those that are strung along by those that also pull the strings of the ones you believe are the root the the problem at hand Sure,USMC and the rest of the governmental agencies, departments, and their various branches will "do the right thing" in terms of what they are told is "right" and what they should do because where those orders emanate from is perceived as being the bringer of "good" and "just" to the world.

"Who else but USMC does anyone expect to arrest these turdballs, especially Obummer, the commie?"

The military in general and by its nature upholds the power structure rather than diminish it,which arresting the political puppets would do almost nothing as there's an endless line of more puppets that will replace them immediately and perpetuate the very system that you are blindly fighting and obliviously supporting due to the foolish endorsement of the very "muscle" of it. "commie" When Obama is merely a puppet for a plutocratic system, policies and actions have supported bankers and corporations(that are the direct opposite of what is "communist"),and has assigned people in high positions of the government that are in favor of corporations and giving them even more power ( like Michael Taylor, who has had a close relationship with Monsanto, with the FDA ).
