Most of this doom is completely out of our control. All it does is cause more suffering. This is why every media form is pushing doom. It causes more suffering.

If you have no control of the doom, then note it and walk away from it.

To dwell in it is a sign of sickness...

All of the news media creates an image that is not the real America. Most people just want to live in peace. They don't want to kill anyone. Hurt anyone. Hate anyone.

But, they are CONSTANTLY pushed doom and fear. Fear controls and debilitates us. Thus the agenda...

If someone actually wants 'doom' of some sort I tend to think about 2 kinds of people I have run into: some people are a wee bit messed up in the head and actually want negative shit to happen to other people; other people desperately want change in their lives and the idea of drastic change sounds appealing... but they have no freakin idea what, realistically, the 'doom' in many of these threads would bring to their lives. I know it's not that simple, and I sometimes daydream of a simpler life, but in reality I do not want mass disruption because I know what would happen to me and the ones I love.

Or survival. If you believe in prophecy, it is nearly time to bring in the tomato plants and make sure you're stocked up. May not change a single bit of doom but IF I survive I will at least have a chance to not starve and neither will my family, neighbors, friends.

As for me, I enjoy Life and if the worst happens it's out of my hands. All I can do is try to rise to the occasion and make the best of it through education, practice, and experience.

And as always, personal doom in some form is unavoidable as opposed to something outrageous like a zombie apocalypse. But it's the personal doom (like illness or unemployment) that will bite people in the butt and shake the foundations of their life.

I would believe you if I was naive enough to buy that statement. Unfortunately, even if I kid myself and tell myself a zillion times that Life is really good if i let it be, I will still be bombarded with all kinds of taxes, bills, daily necessities that are ever increasing in cost, crimes from sick people around me, and a bunch of other things that won't let you 'Life is really good if you let it be.'

That's why to some people, DOOM is an escapism that brings HOPE for people who are sick of how the world runs nowadays and would rather we are all being wiped out and a RESET be put in place.

The people who don't care, are people who are already DEAD inside without them even being aware of it. They are too brainwashed by this world and see only what appears in front of them, without having the capability to think out of the box. They are the ones who have been brainwashed to ACCEPT with questioning.

Me? I'd rather fight and die trying.
