Cop Shoots Deer At Pointblank For Not Moving (Warning Graphic Video)

The Deer apparently was badly injured.
Hind right leg was dangling, previously hit by a vehicle.
That is why it was not moving.

But come on give him super tranq instead of blowing his brains out at the gas station. Probably was his first time firing a weapon while on duty.

Bet that was a good story drinking with the boys in their little union cop clubhouse.

Uh..I don't know about other states but hunting season is in here so...have at it, just be sure to tag it.

I guess the cops life was in danger and he had no time to call wildlife rescue or, you know, drive around the deer.

Also, discharging a firearm in city limits with clear houses and traffic less then 100 feet from where the officer fired his gun.

Based on prior cops accuracy with fire arms, I'm surprised he actually hit what he was aiming at.

I have hit deer with my car a few times. I'm sad to see the animal killed but for the sake of public safety it was the right thing to do.

Cops don't have tranquilizer guns or big budgets. This was probably the fastest and most safest way to eliminate certain danger to the motoring public.

That is the protocol for an injured animal.

It will starve and freeze to death in the woods.

Deer was in shock and endorphins where blocking nearly all of it's sensory perception. They did the right thing.
