This will be 2nd launch of the upgraded Falcon 9 Version 1.1

The first launch of the Version 1.1 from Cape Canaveral Florida.

First commercial launch to Geosynchronous Orbit.

Its carrying SES 8 communications satellite.

I'm not sure of the exact start times for the live feeds but usually about a 1/2 hour before the launch.

Still an old Space Shuttle geek here.

I miss the launches at KSC will not travel there until next human MOON mission liftoff.

Saw Saturn V and Apollo 17 liftoff in real life.

Not impressed by Space X.

Those old folks did it without computers and out of their own brain trying to beat the Soviets.

I can still remember Sputnik, Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova my hero.

The 60's were fabulous years!

I'm jealous, would of loved to see a Saturn V launch. It was before my time.

I've watched all the SpaceX launches on webcast and went to the last Version 1 launch in FL.

It was really unimpressive compared to a Space Shuttle launch.

Planning on going to my parents for Christmas in Jacksonville FL. If the Thaicom 6 launch is happening I'll make a trip to Cape Canaveral.

Re: SpaceX Falcon 9 Launch @ 5:37 PM EST (LIVE FEED)
From Spaceflightnow:

"The weather outlook for this evening's launch window continues to show an 80 percent chance of favorable conditions, with partly cloudy skies, breezy winds and a chance of isolated showers in the area.
The 66-minute launch window opens at 5:37 p.m. EST (2237 GMT), just after sunset at Cape Canaveral."

They have a large 66 minute window to launch. On one of there early launches they had an issue with rocket ignition. The launch aborted so they recycled the launch and change some computer parameters and launched on the same day. SpaceX launches always seem to have some drama. Always exciting.
