Sobriety is trending right now

This. After working around my house cutting grass or what ever, nothing like having a cold beer and cigar on my back porch.

thats normal after the novelty of getting into liquor stores, bars and clubs etc on your own and then you go through another phase of drinking in your 30's when you realize your stuck to a job, a mortgage obligation, kids and unhappy marriage.

Oh lord its hard to be humble when your perfect in every way.

That's why you don't get married and don't take out a mortgage.

6 years ago i quit to smoke weed and it was relatively easy,
but i never even cogitate the idea to stop drink beer, this is one of things that gives a little bit more flavor and fun in life.
If you want donate the booze from your home bar i accept.

its seems like the hip thing to do right now. that way you can say hey I've been clean for XXX days,
aren't you proud of me?
are you going to congratulate me?
are you gonna pet my narcissistic ego that needs stroked?
look I became an adult and followed the "norm"!!

don't give me this " the gubment" is pushing sobriety, they cant take that kinda loss in profits..be serious here.

people have been altering their state of mind for centuries before us, and will continue to do the same in the centuries to come. playing the substance use is a sign of weakness card is a social problem. socially we look down on the people who choose to smoke crack or sniff coke while we roll our joints and drink our beers.

people should worry about what they think about themselves before they begin to give a fuck about what others think.

your here to live your existence according to how you want to, not by the way your made to believe is correct.

and honestly if people are sobering up good for them, but I bet its got more to do with the cost of the products/substances they use, rather then the social implications of it.

Youre the one not rationalizing, probably you have been too much programmed by the system.

Cant argue with you that I am dependent on the system, as it dictates my life(work 10-12 hours a day 7 days a week, but I make very good money with no time to spend it) but I am hardly dead inside. In fact, I feel more alive then ever!

When you have done something to get high for most of your life and then go clean, everything just seems brighter to me now. If y'all are mad at me for not taking drugs anymore, then so be it. I now know myself better than I have ever before, and am also more awake then ever. Cant deny though if herb was legal I would occassionally partake.

Earlier this year when i quit smoking, yes.

I think God is preparing the very best. We can choose to be part of the best or not, as you know we still have free-will and the choice is ours to make, keep it up or fall back down.

We are defiantly increasing our consumption of beer and the like. Around here anyway.

Yes! That is an addiction that I'm trying to break, and others just accept it as part of our generation or our age. As technology becomes more capable, humanity becomes less capable, we must destroy the iPhone to save humanity!
