That's the same stupid argument that just keeps coming up every Christmas: what are you celebrating for if you don't believe in Jesus?

You need Jesus to take a few days off? You need to celebrate something to take a few days off?

For an atheist like me, Christmas is just another holiday - legally mandated time off. It's in the calendar, so I take it, but if it weren't in the calendar, I wouldn't miss it.

To be honest, I'd rather work through Christmas and have my vacation when there are more opportunities to actually enjoy it with my family. However, since most employers are not willing to pay the legally mandated extra for those who work during Christmas, I'm stuck at home without being able to take my family to the movies, restaurant or theatre because they're all closed.

I thought we celebrated Christmas because that was the day Santa was born.......

What is a "Progressive Conservative"? I'd like to know. That seems like a contradiction in terms to me.
